\Mistakes Eclipsed; Rewards Re-found/

As for the eclipse, I gave my take on that yesterday. If it seems like a gloomy day, that is not because of the eclipse but because of the |difficult third| of this week as pointed out above. (Astrologers in general are not aware of this weekly very important phenomenon, and that is one reason you are reading this.) During this Dark or Slow Hermetic Epoch, which is basically a good one, we yet may feel sometimes like “a man upon a raft floating in open sea” if we succumb to “misanthropic isolation.” “Let him take in hand the rudder of intelligence whereby to guide his course, and spread his sails in hope, following his chart with care and trusting Heaven for a favoring wind.” To keep one’s hopes up one might think of “a jewelry shop” or a refuge which preserves values safely. There is “a kaleidoscopic capacity of the world for producing and reproducing whatever an individual may require.”
“An examination of initiates” is really oneself examining oneself to be sure one is “self—dedicated to values far removed from gross appetites and transient jealousies.” One wants to be qualified to “share one’s potentialities with others.” This is not always heroic labor; “a woman sprinkling flowers” is also serving; caring for herself, Nature, and “the welfare of the world” during the Spring growing season.
The New Moon, and eclipse, are figured in “a white oval figure on a very black background containing no forms or shapes of any kind.” Charubel says this could be misfortune through marriage, or that in general one could be “very negative, open to evil influences.” Well, maybe the eclipse-panickers are right. However, we could turn this around into being “open to positive, good influences” and then we could be dwelling in “a fertile garden under the full moon.” That is an ultimacy of fulfillment, prepared perhaps by the woman sprinkling flowers. There can be “high reward in worldly goods and exceptional self-integrity in using them.”
