Moon in Taurus

|Karmically serious, sobering, challenging third| of this week is at its peak, ending Monday evening

That |difficult third of the week| is going to be hitting us on the weekends until mid-July, so it is good to get used to it, possibly moving some of one’s “party-like” events to other parts of the week. (It moves gradually earlier, so it will hit Thursday-Friday in July, then Wednesday-Thursday, etc. Next week it is from late Saturday to late Tuesday.)

“A sword in a museum” is in the right place, it seems to me. The weapons the U. S. is sending to Ukraine to the tune of billions of dollars seem to me to be better placed in a museum. Dr. Jones says that this degree “helps bring history to center in some outstanding individual of real promise at each point of crisis in human affairs.” Who is that individual for us now? We are called upon to follow a good example in “living common ideals.” (One “common ideal” is peace, and so let’s have more negotiations rather than more weapons.) As for “window-shoppers,” they are living out the Taurus destiny (three planets therein) of estimating and evaluating things, trying to “know in advance choices one can make in line with one’s desires.” We visualize what we cannot yet acquire and that brings it a little nearer.

“A straight column with square capital and base” shows “egoity strongly developed and plainly asserted. The mind is elevated, aspiring and precise, but didactic an self-assertive” according to Sepharial. On what does this strength rest? “A jewelry shop,” that is, whatever preserves the luxuries we cherish as rewards of our efforts. “Breakfast at Tiffany’s” for those who cannot shop at Tiffany’s (or choose not to do so).

Charubel sees “a narrow vista of considerable extent, like a square tube, the interior of which is luminous, rendered so by some means I do not understand.” Was Charubel in the 1880s seeing our computers, tablets, and smartphones? He says “This may be connected with optics or some new phase of electricity. It may apply with equal truth to the metaphysical or the transcendental.” And in the Sabian symbols we have “a prism;” Dr. Jones remarks that “nature refuses to change any aspect of herself unnecessarily” so there are seven primary colors, period. We are “able to take any convenient facet of the reality at hand and fashion it into an effective instrument for a measure of the whole potential.”
