\Crowded Experience Cultivated Toward Spiraling Fulfillment/

Moon in Virgo

A lot is going on. I mentioned yesterday how the position of Mars in Sagittarius opposite the U. S. Mars has to do with guns and killing, a U. S. obsession which does not reflect well on our national character. Then, on Wednesday, even the President is calling for stricter gun sale laws and other related measures. Yet people are wondering how firm he will be about this. Gemini is a changeable (mutable) sign, and an air sign, and could be called "trigger-happy" when it comes to guns. In a purely symbolic sense; Gemini individuals are not violent usually. But they are "mercurial" and are in fact ruled by Mercury and so we have a Gemini president whose moves are not predictable from day to day.

But many felt that his support for some change in gun laws was promising, at least. Venus in Pisces is square the U. S. Mars now, and square the transiting Mars in Sagittarius. Pisces is the sign of sympathy and kindness (at its best) and so we had the girl in Florida lying on the ground with a sign "Protect Children, not Guns." She was Venus in Pisces; and was "square to" the U. S. Mars in Gemini as well as the transiting Mars in Sagittarius. This is going on, and she is not alone because Mercury is with her, in Pisces, and the sun and Neptune. So we are seeing played out a drama in which Pisces, sign of goodness and kindness at its best, is conquering the impulsiveness and idiotic thoughtless violence of Mars no matter where it may be. About time, most of us are thinking.

But, as usual, I make no predictions. That is not really what astrology is for, although it gives clues.

Meanwhile it did indeed seem that Charubel's symbol for part of Wednesday's events, "The ascendant enveloped in gloom and blackness," "the degree of death," came true for me in that my illness continued, in fact had a relapse; and the skies were totally black where I am. Well, much more cloudy than usual with not a glint of sunlight. And, "the degree of death" was highly significant in Washington where almost the only topic of conversation was gun control.

As for "the horse leaping over a barrier to liberty" that was evident in me subjectively, in my consciousness, and maybe in Trump in that he broke with his party and the NRA to take a stand against the worst sides of the "gun culture." (Although, being Gemini, he wants to be on both sides.)

Meanwhile the seven symbols for Wednesday fit to a T the movie "Dark Crystal" which is playing in select theaters. It was released in 1982 and is a cult classic, deservedly. In 1982 I saw it and loved it and invited a friend to see it with me. On Wednesday another friend, 36 years later, went to see it and I would have gone except for the illness. It is an excellent film reminiscent to me of the epoch of the Chosen People escaping from the Land of Egypt. And much more than that. The seven symbols for Wednesday almost exactly give the lines on which it is wrought out in its spiritual essence.

Have you noticed how jumpy things are? This is Mars square the four Pisces planets. It keeps us on our toes. Pisces wants to rest, sleep, meditate, go into another world (as do the Mystics in the Dark Crystal film). Mars, no matter in what sign, wants none of that, it wants action. So the square makes for lying down and getting up; resting and being interrupted;  enjoying but then feeling one must act and cease enjoying to get something done.

I did not go to the spiritual group Wednesday evening. I wanted to, in fact felt I had a mission to do that, but the illness (a viral virus which feels like a killer) prevented me. I needed the rest for the sake of sheer physical well-being.

Thursday:

A wooden bridge over a chasm, a man at its end hesitating to trust himself on it.  Fearful disposition; inclined to doubt everything, and suspect even his best friends.  c

A child and a dog with borrowed eyeglasses.  Examination.  s

A truncated cone.  Will rise to good position. Danger of cessation of fortune followed by vexations.  Should aim higher than meaning to hit, or remain contented.  Curtailment.  b

A woman sitting on a tombstone in the act of weeping.  Sensitive and sympathetic. A lover of the shady side of life more than the sunshine.  c

A woman reclining upon a couch, scantily attired.  Given to ease and luxury, soft pleasures of the senses. Makes chains of flowers more difficult to break than bonds of steel. Will dream while others work, and drift upon the river of life.  Sensuality.  b

An inhabited island.  Cultivation.  s

A very large disk consisting of circles of light with dark grey interspaces.  These circles resemble wheels within wheels, which I find on closer examination to be spiral, all revolving.  This symbol contains far more than I am able to express in words.  He may seek to do as others do, but it will not answer.  He is inclined to give up in despair, but just at that critical moment an inspiration fires his inner self, a new light develops, he gets out of those dark interspaces where he may have been floundering for years, on to the circle of evolving light.  Henceforth he is on his groove and is carried onward and upward.  c

The woman on the tombstone and the woman scantily attired on the couch, at opposite extremes of experience, well represent the "inhabited island" if that means human life in all its richness and interest, annoyance and exaltation. We go through opposite experiences in order to cultivate our souls. Our neighbors on the island are either sad or exhilarated, profound or sensual, and we may not even know precisely what they are going through. Yet we are forced through proximity to share their lives indirectly.

All the symbols seem to be contained in the final one, for through the first six we learn to ride that revolving spiral happily rather than get thrown off it. So may it be today.

The period from midnight to dawn could partake of the nature of either day or both.

^Recovering from Timidity?^

Moon in Leo-->Virgo
/moon goes void-of-course at 3:14p PT | 6:14p ET | 11:14p UT
until it enters Virgo at 9:59p PT | 12:59a(Th) ET | 5:59a(Th) T

The hassle over school killings and gun control is astrologically predictable because some of the most violent incidents in U. S. history, such as the assassination of JFK, occurred while Mars was either at or opposite the position of the U.S. natal Mars at 20 Gemini. Mars was approaching that, by less than ten degrees, on February 14 when the Florida shootings occurred, and it is now exactly at 20 Sagittarius while the debate over "what to do" rages on.

Further, a major configuration is Jupiter in Scorpio, sign of death, tri-septile Uranus in Aries, sign of guns. (I am a sun-sign Aries and do not like to call my sign that of "guns" but in a symbolic sense it is, even though millions of good Aries people do not own or care about guns. It is a fire sign ruled by Mars; one can "fire" a gun. Enough said. Mars of course also rules young males.)

Mars is square Venus, Mercury, and Neptune through all of this, all potentially violent aspects, especially the first two. One of Nikolas Cruz's friends thought he was upset about losing a girlfriend (Mars square Venus). That may be why he chose Valentine's Day. The square between the male and female planets began one to two days before that.

One could ponder the above astrological facts and write a long essay about them. Not here, not now. I have been very ill, perhaps my own individual reaction to these aspects.

Wednesday:

A wooden bridge over a chasm, a man at its end hesitating to trust himself on it.  Fearful disposition; inclined to doubt everything, and suspect even his best friends.  c

The ascendant enveloped in gloom and blackness.  The degree of death. By devoting their energies to the spiritual side of their nature, they may find comfort.  c

A wild horse leaping a barrier.  Restless under restraint. Free and open in expressing thoughts and feelings. Adventurous; contempt for peril.  Liberty.  b

A warrior in helmet drawing a long bow to which the fletch is duly set.  Strong character, set purpose, knowledge of future events. Or, weakness which depends on the hazard of life; carelessness in vanity; self-inflation.  Speculation.  b

A child and a dog with borrowed eyeglasses.  Examination.  s

Spiritist phenomena.  Sensitivity.  s

Crowds coming down the mountain to listen to one man.  Appeal.  s

It appears that doubt and defeat have a foothold, even thoughts of death, until one finds a spiritual poise which enables one to leap over these barriers of doubt like the wild horse rejoicing in its liberty.

Then one feels ready for anything, drawing a long bow toward the future. But this could be weakness in disguise or self-inflation.

So one considers things carefully, like the child and the dog using borrowed eyeglasses to fathom whatever they may about this strange world. Who knows, they may even penetrate beyond the mysteries of apparent death into a realm where spiritist phenomena, or happy evidences of the reality of immortality, bring them comfort. We might well emulate them.

(I had actually been planning to present a short discussion of Leslie Kean's wonderful book, Surviving Death, Wednesday evening at a spiritual group. Will "the degree of death," functioning now as my illness, prevent me from doing that, or will this "boy" with his "dog" borrow Leslie Kean's eyeglasses and bravely go to the meeting and be "free and open in expressing thoughts and feelings" like the wild horse? That would include braving the void-of-course period during which the meeting occurs. Time will tell.)

^Opening to the Transcendent^

Moon in Leo

A man in the act of distributing papers among a multitude of people.  Restless disposition; enthusiast and partisan. Reformer on a small scale, but superficial.  c

Men cutting through ice.  Procurement.  s

A woman of dark countenance standing over a prostrate man.  A woman's influence predominant for ill. A man's undoing through weakness; a woman's victory through dishonor. Full of warning and threat.  Prostrating.  b

On a table of plain surface lie a number of chemical instruments: a retort, a pestle and mortar, a bent tube, a crucible, and more.  Chemistry. Analytical and acute mind resolving things into principles and perceiving causes. Wary of those not known to him.  Testing.  b

A fixed star. A transcendental Sun. It sheds a halo of supernal glory on the ascendant.  Psychic power. Brilliant gifts. Not appreciated by the present-day world, but her or his influence extends to future generations.  c

A man bringing down the new law from Sinai.  Mandate.  s

Crowds coming down the mountain to listen to one man.  Appeal.  s

The first two symbols seem opposites; from superficial attempts to influence others to "cutting through ice" or facing the hardest facts and procuring a solution to problems.

The there comes the ominous woman, or the ominous struggle between the sexes which has a chance to disrupt everything if there is no mutual respect.

The impersonal testing of the chemist tries to puzzle all this out. As perhaps a reaction to prostration through false love, it is harsh and wary.

But there is something higher, the "psychic power" of the one in touch with the transcendent. Not understood, he or she waits and influences.

At last this higher focus is able to articulate itself into the new laws brought down from Sinai. There is a mandate to encompass all humanity in one uplifting vision.

And there is a response: the crowds come gladly down the mountain to listen to the man or woman who appeals to the higher nature in them they knew inchoately but may now come to realize in depth and living fullness.

~The Familiar as Refuge~

Moon in Cancer-->Leo
/moon goes void-of-course at 1:52p PT | 4:52p ET | 9:52p UT
until it enters Leo at 8:43p PT | 11:43p ET | 4:43a(Tu) UT
|Karmically difficult third| of this week continues until it
ends at 11:05a PT | 2:05p ET | 7:05p UT

This week the |karmically decisive| or |Karmically difficult| third of the week was a humdinger for me. It covered Saturday and Sunday, and I came down with a cold late Friday which utterly ruined my weekend, in terms of outer activities. That is not the first time this has happened. Two-day or three-day colds often happen, to me at least, during those times. More serious things also happen then, such as 9/11/01 and 11/22/63 (assassination of John Kennedy).  A friend did not suffer health problems but had tickets to a special event on Sunday for himself and his beloved, and then she was too ill to go. He asked me, but I was deep into semi-recovery from the cold. At the last I know he was still looking for someone to go with him.

Does that mean we should just give up and cancel all events during those 2.5 days every week? The question answers itself. It is impossible. People have to go to work on those days, and to meetings scheduled, and appointments, and on and on.

So it's a matter of finesse, individually. If you are really ill, as I have been this weekend, you will cancel things. If they are frivolous (a cartoon festival!) you can easily toss them out of your schedule. If they are crucial to your standing or your loyalty in a group or to your profession or job, you will go and do your best. Knowing about the |difficult third| will help you adjust to things, expect less and endure more without complaining. It may help you suffer the sufferings or complaints of others with more patience. "They can't help it; it's the |difficult third|."

Maybe it would help if I gave out the times a week ahead? Next time it will be:
Friday 2 March, beginning at 11:27a PT | 2:27p ET | 7:27p UT
through Saturday, until Sunday 4 March at 3:57p PT | 6:57p ET | 11:57p UT

This doesn't mean the weekend has to be a total bummer but probably more quiet, simple activities would be preferential to lively and ambitious ones.

Monday:

An old man with a pack upon his back and a long staff in his hand walking down a hill.  Remarkable fortunes. Estranged from kindred at early age to follow an adventurous fortune.  Roaming and privation; resignation.  Remarkable powers.  Pilgrimage.  b

Pelicans moving their habitat.  Frontier.  s

A man in a boat on a lake.  Fond of fishing and aquatic exercise. Maybe indolent and partial to the joys of Bacchus.  c

A deep red star of the first magnitude on the ascendant; but a very short interval elapses between its rising and its setting. But when set, I see a pale golden light succeeding.  A virulent degree. Do not follow the dictates of passion, nor yield to the desires of thy lower nature. If though dost, a short and wretched life is thy lot. But if by virtue of firm resolve thou art able to overcome those elemental promptings, then thou wilt pass through the evil crisis, and thereby ensure a long, useful, prosperous, and happy life.  c

A helical scroll.  Undecided, changeful, fickle. Lost in a multitude of projects and imaginings. Imagination runs riot with reason.  Wandering.  b

A man habited in rough clothes hewing timber close to a log hut.  Contented and laborious. Adaptable to circumstances. Fashioning a world of one's own from materials which nature supplies. Industry, stability, virtue, humility.  Utility.  b

A table set for an evening meal.  Familiarity.  s

These symbols contain the extremes of responsibility and irresponsibility.  I leave you to untangle them and see what they mean to you.

~Pondering a Frontier or Building in One~

Moon in Cancer
|Karmically decisive third| of this week continues (until Monday mid-day)

The full Moon.  A practical business person. Readily allies himself with the world's ways. Never short of expedients. A little cantankerous.  c

Two daggers crossed.  Contention or litigation. Incisive, aggressive. Want of harmony.  Wounding.  b
Pelicans moving their habitat.  Frontier.  s

A man in a boat on a lake.  Fond of fishing and aquatic exercise. Maybe indolent and partial to the joys of Bacchus.  c

A man with upraised arms submerged in the water, over which a heavy rain is falling.  Not good to attempt things beyond one's powers. One must know one's weakness in order to attempt to be independent.  Incompetence.  b

A master instructing his pupil.  Elucidation.  s

A man habited in rough clothes hewing timber close to a log hut.  Contented and laborious. Adaptable to circumstances. Fashioning a world of one's own from materials which nature supplies. Industry, stability, virtue, humility.  Utility.  b

The "cantankerous business person" could go too far toward "want of harmony" or contention. That would be Mars's square with Venus, now exact, plus the |karmic third| of the week.

There come times when one thinks of moving, or changing one's locale temporarily. Planets in the fourth sector suggest both satisfaction with one's current home and an interest in someplace at a distance. That could be the pelicans moving their habitat, or a frontier at least in one's consciousness.

The man in the boat drinking wine or liquor could have an upset due to weakness and incompetence. Not helpful.  Or this could symbolize something different but correlative to that, self-indulgence plus overconfidence leading to loss.

The "moralism" of this setup may seem dull, yet could be useful: It is good to heed the "master" instructing you. Then you may be able to be the man or woman of the final symbol, "fashioning a world" from nature through utility and activity while remaining contented.

An extensive plain on which a dense fog hangs, but the fog is low and there is sunshine above.  Frustration and confusion with worldly matters; but may have attained to great heights in matters spiritual and transcendental.  b

A horse and its rider falling at a fence.  Adventuresome and headstrong. Taste for outdoor sports. Dangers to career through something foreign to the individual. Do not break law. Bridle desires to prevent  Catastrophe.  b

A plowman engaged in the act of plowing.  Steady, industrious. Maybe agricultural pursuits. Content to live by hard labor. A plodder.  c

A niche in which are set a lamp and a book or missal.  Secrets of nature revealed through long and patient study.  Devotion and intelligence, pursuing studies where others would have abandoned them.  Religion, philosophy, fine arts.  Illumination.  b

The moon in her first quarter.  Fond of change; a speculator. Too sanguine in expectation, but mostly fortunate.  c

A gigantic tent.  Apportionment.

Tiny children in sunbonnets.  Innocence.  s

The 7-hour void-of-course period, plus the |karmic third| of this week, plus Luna in the fourth house of home and security, suggest keeping a relatively low profile. "Matters spiritual and transcendental" could go well indeed. The first three symbols suggest pulling back from anything overly adventurous or daring. Being a "plodder" has its advantages and virtues.  "Long and patient study" for those ready for it could lead to illumination.

The challenge to us in this |challenging third| period is to keep moods up when there is doubt or despair; and then to keep "plodding" at the things which seem most important.

The "fondness for change" goes along with Luna in Gemini sextile Uranus in Aries. The children in sunbonnets play innocently and without fear, not in the same dangers as the overeager horseman plunging into the fence. They have fun, and so do the kids and adults at the circus, relaxing in a gigantic tent to see the whole of life dramatized and made enjoyable, restoring confidence.

}Less Adventure = More Peace of Mind?{

Moon in Gemini

A man falling with upraised arms between the parting timbers of a broken bridge.  Beware of accident connected with water. Avoid hazards. Keep to broad highway of life, not isolated path.  Collapse.  b

A wreck floating on a peaceful sea.  The Fates seem unkind. Wreck of fortunes, or speculative adventure leading to ruin. Should go at a moderate pace and not rush to get rich. Keep to the common path to retrieve the family fortunes.  Salvage.  b

A ploughman engaged in the act of ploughing.  Steady, industrious. Maybe agricultural pursuits. Content to live by hard labor. A plodder.  c

A target.  Powers of concentration. Rivalism. Maybe a military man or good marksman.  c

The moon in her first quarter.  Fond of change; a speculator. Too sanguine in expectation, but mostly fortunate.  c

Tiny children in sunbonnets.  Innocence.  s

An Easter promenade.  Celebration.  s

The symbols carry out themes in the planetary patterns. Superficially there is upset related to Luna's opposition with Mars and concurrent squares with the sun, Mercury, Neptune and Venus. However, the last two of these aspects, which become exact in late afternoon and evening, can indicate pleasant events and connections even if not consummated in the way one might have hoped or fantasized. Luna square Venus is something like a flirtation or friendly link which lasts awhile but has dubious elements in it, so while both parties get a "high" from being together, ultimately they part, not with bitter feelings but with "Well, that was interesting but probably won't happen again." That could be the innocence of the "tiny children in sunbonnets."

The first two symbols go along with the moon's square to all the Pisces planets. Not only is it a water sign but rules the ocean (and other bodies of water), and we have a warning about water, because of the man falling from the collapsed bridge; and then the wreck floating on the peaceful sea, perhaps indicating that whatever mishap we experience can be slowly and peacefully remedied. "Salvage" is a helpful keyword.

The man plowing suggests that we can avoid the mishaps by sticking with our ordinary dull duties as much as possible. Being a plodder is better than falling from that bridge, wherever one might think it leads. The Part of Fortune is in the fourth sector of Home, so perhaps we will be content with unadventurous domesticity and thereby avoid needless troubles.

Then, however, the marksman aiming at a target lends us more energy; the plowman perhaps takes time off from drudgery to aim at something a little more interesting. "Rivalism" or rivalry goes along with Venus's almost-exact square with Mars, which can make us edgy to win out over a rival. Our ambitions surge back; we are "fond of change" but perhaps too sanguine, which harks back to the consistent warnings in the first three symbols to keep to the common path or broad ordinary highway. (That puts a rather wet blanket on "TGIF".)

Still, there can be the innocence and purity of the children in sunbonnets. They are happy whatever the day of the week, and are not hung up on strong desires leading into pointless or dangerous scenarios.

The Easter promenade may be a little more self-conscious, yet is a celebration. I hope we all experience something wonderful to celebrate.

Moon in Taurus-->Gemini
/moon goes void-of-course at 3:47a PT | 6:47a ET | 11:47a UT
until it enters Gemini at 4:09p PT | 7:09p ET | 12:09a(F) UT

A black pall suspended, and a man in a gloomy enclosure looking at it despairingly; finally he musters courage to lift the pall, and enters a dark passage, which finally conducts him into the light of a glorious day.  Be prepared for trials, but don't give up in despair; thy day will dawn.  c

An Easter sunrise service.  Rebirth.  s

An officer preparing to drill his men.  Preciseness.  s

An arrow in flight passing through a cloud of smoke.  Penetrating, keen and incisive mind. Pursues what he sees without vacillation. Feels his path in life is already marked out.  Directness.  b

A bunny metamorphosed into a fairy.  Transition.  s

A little boy in a state of nudity blowing bubbles.  Much innocence. Will live long, but do little good or harm. Bent on personal amusement (which might be regarded as worthless).  c

Three men advancing arm in arm.  Friendship and delights of social intercourse.  Profusion of effort animated by best feelings.  Many supporters.  Popular instructor. Fondness for pleasure may be a problem.  Accord.  b

The first two symbols fit together perfectly. The "black pall suspended" could be the tomb of the Saviour, followed by the Easter sunrise service. We need to be reassured that we can pass through the darkness of despair to the glorious rebirth we may claim through faith.

Then the two somewhat military symbols show the resulting firmness of a life which is sure of itself. The officer drills his men precisely so that they may be ready for any eventuality, and the arrow goes directly to its mark even if through a cloud of smoke, something like the "black pall." We do know what to do, even during the long void-of-course period today. And so we can do it directly. Often in the v-of-c we feel that things are meaningless and so we are inclined to slack off. But if we remember the focus of our life which is "already marked out" we can get through the period adhering to ordinary routines, like the soldiers going through their drill. Then we will feel better. It's just ordinary stuff!

Then comes the transition of the bunny being metamorphosed into a fairy. Military dudes with their weapons are quite unlike fairies, so this is indeed a transition. But when off duty or on leave they may revert to the "nude little boy blowing bubbles" stage (un-uniformed nude dudes), and this could be with their comrades in a tavern or playing a game or just hanging out (the final symbol).

So there we have the gamut of the day. The prominence of Saturn and the v-of-c could indicate the tough stuff we have to face (the drill), while after the moon enters Gemini we may be ready for lighthearted fun. Blowing bubbles indeed! While arm-in-arm. 

A man holding the end of a rope in his hand, the other end out of sight in the heavens.  A very peculiar psychological power.  May procure esoteric truth at will consciously.  Perhaps mediumship of a very high order.  c

You, and I , may feel at times that there is "too much" in the daily symbols, too many differing currents, buoys, pointers in different directions. Too much to "grok," comprehend, or wrap our minds around.

The answer may be that we do not need to "wrap our minds around" the symbols but just let them speak to us gently, even just one, two or three of them if that is all needed at a given time.

My attempt to connect today's:  We are alert to what we want, like the seagulls, yet fear we may go into that dark tunnel, that is, get lost in something which is a waste of our time or maybe even a danger to our hopes.

So we turn to work, like the man hewing timber to build a colony.  This earnestness is founded on realism, that is, we see that unless we do the task we cannot succeed or maybe even survive in our present form. It is also based on good will, a willingness to work for the common good rather than just our own.  The moon in Taurus in good aspect with Capricorn and Pisces planets suggests a practical, somewhat earthy focus.

That results in the "trilithon" with its iron gate leading into a refuge, a place where we feel secure. The colony, perhaps, has been built and can be a refuge for those who need it  People have been saying that the spirit of community is being lost from our culture, with our turn to technological connections while we are sitting at home or in a coffee shop ignoring the other customers. Somewhat true. What in your experience goes counter to that, making things more like a "let's pull together" community? It may be a good focus.

We come to the less practical, more ethereal symbols. The lady in fox fur may be the antithesis of the colony, luxuriating in privilege supporting vanity, careless of the suffering of a helpless animal in order to feel glamorous.  The keyword "tastefulness" means we could take this another way, substituting fake fur or some other pleasing garment. Even in the hard-built colony or community, people need to have a sense of personal tastefulness, dressing and appearing as they wish.

The bunny becoming a fairy could be the fox becoming a lady, to take it perversely! Or the lady could assume some other more tasteful garment and feel that she is lifting herself from the mere animal level to something elegant or even spiritual, the fairy. A Playboy Bunny (pretty much an antiquated role) changes her image to something more subtle and so even more intriguing.

The man with the rope in his hand extending into the heavens to bring down Truth has an answer for all the above personae.  The man entering the tunnel turns around and sees a better way. The seagulls are guided to the right ship, or port, to get what they need without damaging any other creature's prospects. The man laboring to found a colony senses what will work and what will not, how to choose his locale, materials, and companion workers.  The fashionable lady sees how to do charity work and puts her heart and tasteful style into it.

We can be "mediums," not necessarily of discarnate entities but of the Truth (beyond mental definition) however that is trying to manifest in our corner of the world in 2018.

The symbols and their interpretation are intended to apply basically during the hours from dawn to midnight. Often a planet will move from one degree to another during the day, so I use a time near mid-afternoon for all of them, so that they shall be exactly right during most, often all, of the daylight hours. The period from midnight to dawn could partake of the nature of either day or both.

\Cherishing/

Moon in Aries-->Taurus
/moon goes void-of-course at 4:12a PT | 7:12a ET | 12:12p UT
until it enters Taurus at 11:13a PT | 2:13p ET | 7:13p UT

A person about entering a dark tunnel.  May go wrong in life if there be no saving influences.  Unfortunate or hopeless.  c

Sea gulls watching a ship.  Alertness.  s

A sword in a museum.  Example.  s

A boar's head upon a dish.  Conviviality.  A taste for high living. Fiery and petulant; but generous and hospitable, bringing about accord with enemies.  b

A bunny metamorphosed into a fairy.  Transition.  s

A luminous cloud, one of the woolpack type, isolated and sailing slowly in the azure sky.  It suddenly opens and pours out upon the earth an influence resembling a shower of pearls of variegated hue.  Numerous celestial gifts. Prosperous in matters temporal and spiritual without apparent effort on his or her part.  Might lose by recklessness and prodigality.  c

A circle within a circle, both concentric.  A life bounded by another, a happiness that can never be shared alone.  Close relationships of domestic life in perfect accord.  Sweet influences engendered by a nature disposed to harmony.  Cherishing those of smaller attainments or less mature.  Guarding.  b

People need so much. We seem to have a boundless need for "something" and we chase it through food, drink, people, eroticism, entertainment, sports. These symbols point to all that and do not condemn it but lift it to something higher, "a bunny metamorphosed into a fairy."  That is in accord with a stellium (four planets or more) in Pisces, the most fairy-like or angelic sign of all, perhaps (as the Dolphin, its mascot, is one of the most angelic of mammals). We are aiming to get out of that "dark tunnel" of aimless punishing desire. The sword in a museum could be a realization of the futility of taking up arms, or being arrogantly aggressive (we have put the sword in a museum!), while yet remaining courageous, that is, living the essence of the sword rather than its ugly violence.  We can be an example by being strong, and we appreciate someone else's example.

Especially after the moon enters Taurus we may have a party time, maybe a little sensuous (the boar's head signifying a feast), when we reconcile with people or feel at-one with those whose lives are different ("enemies" only in a metaphoric sense). This leads into a transition, where we are receptive to celestial bestowals.  The luminous cloud pouring out gifts on the earth fits exactly the life of Mirra Alfassa Richard, born on February 21 with the sun and Venus in this degree. She spoke repeatedly, through her long life, of the Force, the powerful Influence, she felt coming to the earth, sometimes called the Superman force, or a higher Consciousness with much power to improve things, or even the Supramental (a technical term of Sri Aurobindo for the highest Mind of utter knowledge and power beyond mere human thinking). Charubel's symbol fits her perfectly.  She was prosperous in all matters "without apparent effort" and remarked on this. She said she never had to worry about money. And yet, as Charubel also remarked, she "lost by recklessness and prodigality" in that by 1970 her Ashram (founded by Sri Aurobindo) was in dire straits financially and had to ask for support here and there. Yet even then she said she never worried, and indeed the Ashram still exists (as does Auroville the village she founded). One may believe or not believe in the Forces which came down to earth through her or because of her, but I think that even those who do not believe have been benefiting from them enormously.

As for the final symbol, it means a great deal to me because it exactly describes what happened with me one day when it was present in the daily list (years ago). You may be with someone, or else think about or experience someone psychically, whom you cherish and guard in your heart. That person may also cherish and guard you in a similar way. Beyond that, if you read the symbol again and ponder it, you may know of whom it speaks to you. You are concentric circles. This is wonderful.
