A focus on home is likely on Monday until around noon Tuesday. Late
Tuesday and Wednesday bring a more relaxed and playful mood.
For the whole period, annoying technical matters or matters of paperwork
and the like are being resolved often in difficult ways but with
possible success. I myself am shocked that in a supposedly sophisticated
technological culture the high priests of technology, including
programmers, are so sloppy, careless and seemingly malicious as to make
doing the simplest things almost impossible. But I will not regale you
with another tale of woe (you cannot log in with this information, you
gave the wrong password, you must sign in to a different account before
you sign into this account, call us [but nobody will answer], don't call
us [nobody is here but a robot] and so on.) I have had it up to here
with all that. I hope it is not that bad for you, but Mars in Virgo
quincunx Uranus has made for technological mayhem for many.
Despite all that, the moon is in Virgo, a neat orderly sign. You want
some order in your home, for the sake of peace of mind. You may want
music. Singers get attention with Jupiter and the sun in Taurus, trined
by the moon Tuesday evening.
Old friends may link with you in peculiar ways which make no logical sense but fulfill some need.
Quick changes in what could be love keep you a step ahead of yourself if you are not to stumble over yourself or someone.

The grand trine in earth signs---in March it was Mars, Pluto and Jupiter, then it faded in early April, then returned in later April as Mars, Pluto and the sun---has been good for the stock market. As a matter of fact, the Market fell backward during the gap in this Grand Trine in early April, but has now recovered with the help of the sun's position. (However, although such large-scale trends are sometimes observable, I warn against trying to predict the Market with astrology. There are too many variables, and sometimes investors will go into buying frenzy under bad aspects, then sell to take profits during good times; sometimes they will do the exact opposite. In the former case, things are "good" for the sellers taking profits, "bad" for those holding on. And so on.) I hope this Grand Trine has been good for your personal finances. At least, it has made most more confident and relaxed about income.
As for the labor market, which all consider crucial, it would appear that unemployment ought to decrease with Mars turned direct in Virgo, a sign of work from some viewpoints (even to the point that Labor Day is celebrated in the month of Virgo). Mars has been retrograde in that sign since January; now that it is direct (since April 14), and headed to trines with Pluto and Jupiter, I hope employment will increase from now through June. Things are even worse, of course, in some places such as Spain, Greece and Italy, so let us hope they too shall see improvement under these configurations (and the Bright Hermetic Epoch lasting until June 27).
During this solar-lunar period your mind is sharp and strong to deal with financial and other matters, flexible and able to take account of pertinent factors. Things at a distance connected with travel or education come into play.

This could mean sobriety and realism, yet Venus's good aspects suggest really good social potentials. Being with a friend or partner is recommended no matter what the difficulties. People have their doubts and suspicions under this lunar aspect but are trying to rise above them, so you can help each other and have a happy time in the process.
With the moon in Cancer, the sun and Jupiter in Taurus, and Mars in Virgo, the pleasures of the table, or eating and drinking, are emphasized. This could mean your own enjoyable work in the kitchen or eating out.

As I write on Friday I am suffering the moon void-of-course and also opposed to Saturn and also in its final hours (Old Moon), and among other difficulties my Internet connection disappeared. Many people think that astrology is delusion and self-fulfilling prophecy. But these kinds of things--beyond our control and therefore not imagination--happen too often to be coincidental. The synchronicity of our solar system, including the moon of our planet, is incredible and can only be explained by Intelligent Design, however one may choose to visualize or conceptualize the Designer. Had I cooperated more fully with the Design I might have gotten the forecast written earlier, as I planned, and all would have been easier, you would have gotten the forecast sooner, and perhaps it would have been a better one.
Saturday could be a practical day in several ways. It starts off with the New Moon at 12:20a PT | 3:20a ET | 7:20a UT. Whatever you need to do of a material sort (unless you are orthodox Jewish or Seventh-Day Adventist Christian) could be done with facility, including household matters and necessary purchases. I would leave unusual, major purchases or beginnings to Monday or later, for we enter a new Bright Hermetic Epoch and things will start to become unglued or untangled (after the moon enters Gemini that day).
For this period, works such as might benefit someone in the community are favored. You might work on a building or grounds. It is interesting to see what is going on in the neighborhood.
You are impressionable about things of deep importance. You sense what your soul wants of you. Something about ancestry on your father's side could be important.
You may keep moving, looking for something, not exactly finding it but finding other things or learning something.

The period just before the New Moon, which does not come until Saturday, is usually a little confining, as if motivation were lacking, and can be good for extra rest. However, Saturn in Libra is emphasized by being the handle of a fanhandle whose fan is four planets in Aries. Since Saturn is retrograde, this can mean "old business" or stuff you just need to do although it is hard. So you may need to balance a need for rest with a need to get that stuff done. This is technically the last day of the Venus-Mars square, by ten-degree orb, yet it is still there and can be felt as rashness in dealing with people, as if you were too "cavalier" and offended them needlessly, or rushed into your own desires so impulsively that you forgot you might be annoying them. Of course, this could be reversed and you could feel someone has been doing this to you, and probably have felt it in recent days. It's like a child's demands: "You must do this; I need this, now not later." Or, if it thinks it is selfless, "You need this now, not later."
Of course it is important to avoid making enemies. At the same time, you may be defining yourself helpfully by recognizing that to which you are opposed or with which you do not agree. Much of human life is an exercise in either avoiding, mitigating, or curing enmity. That does not mean agreeing with what you perceive as wrong. The attempt, often direly needed, increases awareness and ultimately enriches us through consciousness-expansion. This is a secret reason behind the command to "love your enemies." In the "astrology as explanation of suffering" category, we have the sun opposed to Saturn, plus Mars still squared to Venus, which show that most of us are going through difficult transitions and facing unexpected hurdles whether in job, home, or relationships. Yet, as I have said, the second half of April should be better and it begins Monday. We are "coming out of the woods" but perhaps not entirely until the 23rd or later.
There are potentials of anger, fighting, rage, cruelty. People insist on being completely "other" so often that one might feel alienated and want to "beat sense into them," which, of course, never works. "Facing the other" reaches its peak either in war or sex, both of which have their obvious dangers. I could not spell out what this means now unless I were to write a long essay on philosophical psychology, which I am not about to do, but I am trying to give you some clues.
There are also mechanical issues, such as electronics, machine technology or mechanics, fixing things, repairing things, putting things in their proper places, moving them around for greater efficiency and convenience.
Perhaps you want to be "first" in something. Everybody does, it seems; perhaps even saints or yogis sometimes think "I am a better saint or yogi than so-and-so." Or if they don't, perhaps that is what makes them saints. I claim no such status, and I want to be the best expositor of current astrological aspects on the planet. At any rate as Cosmic Piper I am making a game attempt. What is it in which you want to be "first"?
If you notice that someone seems crude, vulgar, insensitive, and hurtful to others, animals, or yourself, you may have a dharma or duty to do something about it, or else to pray about it or offer up the situation to higher guidance and power, which is a form of work if done sincerely and fully (rather than with slipshod pseudo-sincerity).
Those who serve you, or are supposed to, may require some reminders of what they are called upon to do. Of course, in the spiritual paths this is reversed and you are supposed to remind yourself of what you are supposed to do for others. Perhaps the latter will lead naturally to the former.
Psychological adjustment to others and their idiosyncrasies seems necessary, so long as you are not violating your own integrity. This is possible through growth in intimate connections with those who seem too "other" for any connection at first. Yet of course this has its limits if someone's influence on you would be detrimental. Always a judgment call, or a need for invoking soul-intervention.
Simple labor, persistent effort, has its undoubted value and is the basic "spiritual path" for many. It makes you feel good about yourself and then rewards come easily.
The moon will be void-of-course for almost the whole of Tuesday, so it would be wise to get the most crucial matters settled Monday if you can. Wednesday (after the time given above) and Thursday are also good for most purposes.
We all feel we have missed opportunities. But the cosmos is prolific in offering new ones. Rather than jump toward them, now is probably a time to finish up old ones, get things finished which need to be finished, "clear the deck" in preparation for the rest of April, May, and June.

*Frustrated Self Becomes Selfless?*
Monday looks somewhat more difficult than Tuesday, with the moon joining the T square of Neptune, Mars, and Venus to make an X square (Grand Square). This is an attempt to "burst one's bounds" and expand forcefully beyond oneself, but it can involve clashes with others who are doing the same but in their own way which can fail to harmonize with yours. (You might review what was said in the final paragraph of the previous report about Monday morning.)
Tuesday, then, seems an intermediary day when you can put some of the pieces back together and grope your way toward a clearer path for the rest of the month.
People care about their homes, careers, and relationships, and are touchy about all three. Mars is working backward (retrograde) toward a station on Friday, then moving direct, which is one (but only one) reason I said the second half of April would be smoother than the first.
A lighter side of things makes you want to prance and dance in your work, entertaining and being entertained. There are mysteries around people, as if you realized you can never really fathom them. In a sit-com or soap opera, we know that the writers know what they want the characters to be, but in life we are the writers and it is hard to know what others are secretly writing.
A serious yet playful part of you wants to agitate, convince people, take a position about something and make it tell. You have "had enough" of something and are ready to make the world know what should be done about it. This has an effect on younger people.
Some with whom you are linked seem to be missing some mental faculty which would show them things which seem obvious to you. How can you show them? Maybe you cannot, and need to sense what other value they have for you as associates.
There can be separations. People are inclined to go their own way or feel alienated from someone, even a partner, when the moon opposes Venus (more on Monday than Tuesday). Yet there is a desire for intimacy, even forced or contrived intimacy, that is, a mutual sharing of things even with those of different racial or ethnic stock or a very different background.
One result of the foregoing could be indecision or instability, so that you fumble in your work, renege on promises to yourself, and have to start over again. To do that with good cheer is quite an accomplishment, so if you do it you will feel better than if you slack off. There is a lot to do in connection with career, including writing, communicating or phoning even when that seems peculiarly complicated.
The other side of this, however, is peace, which you can attain and enjoy inwardly. There is a point at which you cease to care what people think about you or whether they like or approve of you. Then you might begin to know what selfless love is, or selfless indifference if that is easier than love, or a poise of the spirit which appreciates whatever life offers as beauty or pleasure without struggling too much for "something else."

People care about their homes, careers, and relationships, and are touchy about all three. Mars is working backward (retrograde) toward a station on Friday, then moving direct, which is one (but only one) reason I said the second half of April would be smoother than the first.
A lighter side of things makes you want to prance and dance in your work, entertaining and being entertained. There are mysteries around people, as if you realized you can never really fathom them. In a sit-com or soap opera, we know that the writers know what they want the characters to be, but in life we are the writers and it is hard to know what others are secretly writing.
A serious yet playful part of you wants to agitate, convince people, take a position about something and make it tell. You have "had enough" of something and are ready to make the world know what should be done about it. This has an effect on younger people.
Some with whom you are linked seem to be missing some mental faculty which would show them things which seem obvious to you. How can you show them? Maybe you cannot, and need to sense what other value they have for you as associates.
There can be separations. People are inclined to go their own way or feel alienated from someone, even a partner, when the moon opposes Venus (more on Monday than Tuesday). Yet there is a desire for intimacy, even forced or contrived intimacy, that is, a mutual sharing of things even with those of different racial or ethnic stock or a very different background.
One result of the foregoing could be indecision or instability, so that you fumble in your work, renege on promises to yourself, and have to start over again. To do that with good cheer is quite an accomplishment, so if you do it you will feel better than if you slack off. There is a lot to do in connection with career, including writing, communicating or phoning even when that seems peculiarly complicated.
The other side of this, however, is peace, which you can attain and enjoy inwardly. There is a point at which you cease to care what people think about you or whether they like or approve of you. Then you might begin to know what selfless love is, or selfless indifference if that is easier than love, or a poise of the spirit which appreciates whatever life offers as beauty or pleasure without struggling too much for "something else."

I would not blame some of you for feeling that these reports were putting "life on hold" for several weeks. In a way that has been true. I could say, based on many factors, that the second half of April will be far better, more progressive, than the first half. That is a promise which I believe it is safe to make. We aren't quite there yet.
I am not fond of the moon's transit through Scorpio, though it can be good for deeper thinking, pondering, feeling, and sometimes mystical experience. Pondering death and what it means is good at these times, provided one avoids the mistake of secretly hoping for or delighting in the demise of someone. I am afraid that goes on far more than people are willing to admit. Visualizing people as overcoming their defects and improving in this life, rather than as being shoved out of it, is the better course. Passing through death, or thoughts of it, with a conviction of immortality is a healthy Scorpio skill, when it has been developed.
Someone you like, either a friend or a business associate, is efficient, neat, and methodical. Perhaps selfish, but you don't mind when that selfishness is predictable and useful to yourself.
As mentioned in paragraph 1, you are waiting for something which will help you pull your life together. Delays continue, in money and business matters, but there are signs of improvement, which increase your optimism.
Things you want to learn and share are highlighted. If you are a frustrated teacher, you may take heart that destiny is forging a path for you, with the right help from a foundation, grant, or institution, or, failing that, your unaided pertinacity. What you hold within yourself can be shared somehow. Some will listen; and even those uninterested subconsciously gain something from your attempted exposition.
Intimacy develops through learning, whether in a class or more informally. People let themselves discover who they are through intimate interaction, chatter, or play. They also learn who others are, though not without shocks. It is healthy to face someone radically "other" and expand one's perspective toward a modicum of understanding and sympathy.
If you are preparing for a journey, or thinking of one, you may have bittersweet emotions, aware of the pain of readjustment but also the thrill of the challenge. An inquisitive spirit opens out into bold adventure and discovery.

The previous forecast, named "Encouraging Turning Point," has been less than encouraging for me, as I write during it. I think I was basically right, that Mercury's turning point toward direct motion is encouraging, but other factors are difficult, including the T square of Neptune, Mars, and Venus. This is peculiarly significant as coming to a peak near Good Friday, which for Christians is the day of the Saviour's passion, or suffering for humanity. The "encouragement" is sub rosa or, one might say, beneath the cross, awaiting a resurrection, which may be earlier or later than Easter Sunday (in astrological terms). Christians might put it this way: "Since He suffered for us, I can endure a little suffering without complaint." To others a similar attitude could help, in that we all know how much persecuted people throughout the world have suffered or are suffering now. This harsh configuration, with Neptune (at worst, sometimes victimhood) involved, brings to light such injustices (of which the injustice suffered by the Saviour is a symbol, and more). We have been hearing daily of killings, suicides and the like, a sad response to these aspects by those who cannot rise above them.
It is the Full Moon of Passover (exact Friday at 12:20p PT | 3:20p ET | 7:20p UT). The fullness of consciousness it brings out need not be totally sombre but if it is not partially so I would say one is being quite superficial. Until human suffering has been completely overcome, we need to take account of it, not helplessly but in an attempt to heal it.
When people do not know what they are doing they can be dangerous. Harshness in the general mood needs to be dealt with somehow, either by avoiding unnecessary battles or, if one cannot avoid them, using one's wits and presence of mind, in addition to prayer, to do what one can to protect oneself.
On the positive side, there are potentials of developing something uniquely one's own, one's powers and abilities, to a point where they will be surprisingly effective, even on a far-flung or international scale. You may be, or become, part of a massive organization which brings out your strength when you accept responsibilities within it. The motive and mission are kindness and goodwill despite misunderstandings.
Not all can be done in a single day or week. Not only is Mercury moving very slowly, until we reach the Bright Hermetic Epoch on April 23, Mars also is retrograde until it turns direct a week from now (April 13-14). So this is an interim period. If the gains from your efforts seem paltry, persevere.
Times of rest also are important. Being alone to study mysterious or profound matters is wonderful, when you can. You will not seek to share what you learn, but it will bubble out of you in such a way as to please and interest people.
Personified powers (invisible beings) may be aiding you to make the changes in your world which seem best at this juncture. Thereby your outlook is enhanced and all becomes brighter.
