Forecast for Friday 1 July 2016

Friday 1 July 2016

Moon in Gemini
|Karmically difficult or sobering third| of this week (until Sunday)   ** |

It appears that the smoothest part of the holiday weekend will be Sunday and Monday, so if that helps in your planning, well and good. Maybe the most unusual or elaborate plans should be reserved for those two days. The only problem is that those will also be the days of the New Moon and even conventional meteorologists have concluded that, statistically, there is a larger chance of rain at those times (as well as the Full Moons). Still, if you want to spend part of the weekend either alone or less socially involved, I would choose Friday and Saturday for that.

From yesterday's report:  This coming holiday weekend should be good because the Venus-Mars trine is getting closer by the day, exact on the 6th (and continuing through the 15th). Not everyone is in a thrilling love-affair but everyone is entitled to some kind of unusual affection, sympathy, goodwill or friendship during this period.

I struggle with these daily forecasts, often thinking that a weekly format may be better. I would continue with the lunar data (at the beginning of each forecast now) on a daily basis, or posted a few days ahead of time, but leave out the complex discussion of current aspects except for a weekly report (based on a Saturday through Friday week as I have done in the past). Perhaps I will try that experimentally tomorrow.

There is so much that could be said about the lunar aspects each day, which I do not have time to do. For example: Today, Thursday as I write, I went out in the late afternoon a couple hours before the moon opposite Mars aspect was exact, from Taurus to Scorpio. Here is what I wrote about that in the Thursday forecast:  Thursday brings some of these matters [concerning personal finances and international finance] to the fore because of the moon's opposition with Mars from Taurus to Scorpio, the money axis (and also often the sex axis). Agitations of the passions and lusts is certainly possible especially because, additionally, Venus and Mars are now in their trine by less than 8 degrees and increasing.

After a few other matters, I walked through a nice park connected with Seattle University. For the first time, I noticed some amazing flower beds and stopped to enjoy them. The flowers were filled with bees garnering their sweet harvest from the "sexual organs" of the plants. This is not what I had been thinking of regarding the "sex axis" Taurus-Scorpio, but there it was! A skeptic could say "Well, the bees were doubtless there every day." Probably true, but this was the day and hour when I experienced them. Astrology is a phenomenological science. Look up the philosopher Husserl. It is an experiential science. Each astrologer or student uses the planetary positions and aspects to illumine his or her own experiences, the phenomena which present themselves concurrently with the planetary phenomena. I have not seen a single bee this year, not one, but I saw dozens of them less than an hour before this lunar aspect occurred. The moon in Taurus is perfect, because if there is such a thing as a "flower sign" it would be Taurus. (Think of Ferdinand the Bull who loved to smell the flowers. I put my nose in several this afternoon, making sure first there was no bee drinking there.) Bees might be called Scorpio-type insects, in that they can sting as can the Scorpion! The opposition of the moon to Mars from a "flower sign" to a "bee sign" was perfectly accurate in my experience. The bees were not hurting (opposition) the flowers, but helping them perhaps through pollination, as well as helping themselves. That shows how the opposition can be a good aspect, depending on how it is used. If a bee had stung me, that would be the opposition in its hurtful mien. No such thing.

After enjoying this scene a while I walked on. I stopped to rest near one entrance to the park. A blackbird was making an enormous ruckus in the tree above. I somehow get along with those birds, although I know they can be hurtful to other birds (and that I don't like). I looked up into the tree and this lone blackbird continued cawing and scolding the whole world for more than five minutes. Decidedly unusual. I looked at the current positions of the planets on the AstroGold app on my phone, and saw that the moon was two minutes of arc from its opposition with Mars, almost there. This crow was announcing the aspect to the world. I don't know what was eating him.

I continued on my way, toward my bank (Taurus-Scorpio, the money axis). I stopped to take in a street scene. A young man dressed in red, with pink shoes, was taking a photo. Red is the color of Mars. It turns out that he was photographing his skateboard, which he had just succeeded in putting in an amazing position. Around the corner, two other skateboarders were at it, and one kicked something on the street hard with his foot (Mars a planet of impact or hitting). Two ot the skateboards were partially red. By now the moon was void-of-course. It was sort of a void-of-course scene, these dudes playing around, one of them photographing it all. Mars rules young males.

I went on to my bank and had to wait a very long time to cross an intersection (moon void-of-course). I needed to take some money out of the ATM in order to verify or jump-start my new debit card. I didn't need to get the money for any other reason, so my getting it was "void-of-course" in that sense. Then I forgot my receipt and a lady handed it to me. Not a big deal, it had to be done sometime. This is why I so often say "routine things" are fine during the void-of-course. Taking out a loan would not be routine. Now I have to cut in pieces and throw away my old debit card (I have frequently said here that v-of-c times are good for cleaning and throwing things out).

All this seeming trivia goes on, every day, during pertinent lunar aspects. We just don't notice it. If I were to write a complete forecast I would have to say: "Moon opposite Mars, Taurus to Scorpio: You might witness or stop a rape. Probably not. Or maybe see bees seeming to rape flowers. Why not? You might go to a bank, or do some banking on your computer or phone. You might hear a crow making a tumult. You might witness young males playing, clothed in red." And on and on. And even then I would not have exhausted the possibilities of this aspect. That is why we need to get into our consciousness a sense of what all the astrological indications can mean, and then be pleasantly surprised with the endlessly creative ways they work out in our magical universe--the magical solar system within which we are privileged to reside.

Whether to try to continue the daily reports, and fail so many times to hit on exactly what is going on in your particular world, I may opt, tomorrow, for a weekly report covering this Saturday through next Friday. We shall see.

Today (Friday) we need to decide on our set ambitions or plans and carry them out rather than be indecisive and weak. Flexibility is fine; not reckless escapism.

\Passionate/

Moon in Taurus   ****
/moon goes void-of-course at 5:20p PT | 8:20p ET | 0:20a(F) UT   *** /
|Karmically difficult or sobering third| of this week begins at 7:10p PT | 10:10p ET | 2:10a(F) UT (until Sunday morning)   ** / |

I hope that if anyone took seriously my recommendation of June 22 through July 15 as a vacation period, they are not dissatisfied. I find that most things for me are quite good although I could wish for more. It may be futile to try to pin down "good" periods in that fashion, but I felt I had to try, and the next such period I chose was September 10 through October 6, although Mercury will be retrograde during that time. It could be good for a relaxed, sentimental sort of holiday.

There are always multiple factors. The Brexit event at the very beginning of the recommended period, on the 23rd, was a shocker which seemed to upset everything. That implicated the Yod involving Mars retrograde in Scorpio, and the continuing Grand Square. Both factors are loosening gradually, but the T square of Saturn, Neptune and Jupiter remains. We carry on with the benefit of the good Venus aspects I have mentioned frequently in recent posts ameliorating the troublesome ones. For example, though I do not attempt to predict the stock market here, it is noticeable that after the harsh fall in prices last Friday they have been recovering.

This coming holiday weekend should be good because the Venus-Mars trine is getting closer by the day, exact on the 6th (and continuing through the 15th). Not everyone is in a thrilling love-affair but everyone is entitled to some kind of unusual affection, sympathy, goodwill or friendship during this period.

I wonder how many are working on diet? I have been, with apparently little success! Jupiter in Virgo in a prominent position in the charts, and with good aspects to both Mars and Venus, suggests overeating and enjoying it. It has been a temptation sneaking up on me unexpectedly, very hard to control.

International finance is getting a lot of attention--Brexit has brought it to the fore. But also Donald Trump's and Bernie Sanders's critiques of trade policy affecting U. S. workers are having a strong impact, forcing Hillary Clinton to respond in her own way. This shows in the chart by the field positions of Mars and the moon yesterday and today, and the long-term position of Saturn retrograde in Sagittarius (often international affairs in mundane astrology). Attention to workers is increasing, and to the minimum wage. Jupiter is in Virgo the sign of the worker, as it is in Bernie Sanders's birth chart. It squares Saturn in the international Sagittarius, bringing out the contention of Trump and Sanders that American jobs are being lost overseas.

Thursday brings some of these matters to the fore because of the moon's opposition with Mars from Taurus to Scorpio, the money axis (ans also often the sex axis). Agitations of the passions and lusts is certainly possible especially because, additionally, Venus and Mars are now in their trine by less than 8 degrees and increasing.

P. S. From the Agenda of The Mother of the Sri Aurobindo Ashram, in 1966: In relation to
"a girl who has written to me several times (there are several like her), who has a well-built body, who should be quite solid and healthy,  but she has an emotive and sentimental vital, and . . . (somewhat ironically) they aren't 'loved' as they would like to be loved. Result: one has a pain in her stomach, another has a pain elsewhere. Finally they write to ask me, 'What's going on?' And the other day, I said to myself, 'Why don't I tell them?' So I wrote:

"'You feel lonely because you want to be loved. Learn the joy of loving without demand, just for the JOY OF LOVING - the most wonderful joy in the world - and you will never more feel lonely.'

"That, mon petit, for me is the key. The key that solves all problems - for me. I am not saying it will eternally be like that; it isn't the supreme truth, but for my present experience of the present time, it's the key."

\The Reward of Faithfulness/

Moon in Taurus   *****

The five stars are a stretch, but Luna's aspects are wonderful--setile sun and Venus, sextile Neptune on the other side, and trine Jupiter. (If I waited for a "perfect" day to give five stars, that might be never!) Something satisfying during this June 22 through July 15 period (which was indicated as positive and possibly good for a vacation) should be visibly shaping up. The fly in the ointment could appear late in the evening when Luna is quincunx Saturn--possibly anxiety concerning travel, study, or spiritual commitment, as well as the harder part of a relationship. Yet the blessings can overflow this issue if you are open to them. It is good to be composed and unworried when entering into sleep.

The relationship matter is something of long standing. It challenges you to understand yourself better, which means that the Other so challenges you, though not intentionally. The answer naturally is augmented interpersonal understanding, which cannot come without preliminary tolerance through the hard parts of the Other's presentation to you.

You are concerned with career, or position before the world, your public image. The mysterious factors in this are actually helping you, as if what people imagine about you is aiding you.

Doing some organizational work at home (boring!) could help, with Jupiter in Virgo in fourth position in some of the field systems. It would actually make you feel more prosperous and therefore spontaneously generous.

Despite the volatility in financial markets, most will be feeling that their financial situation is solid and rewarding. You have been faithful to a program which makes sense, and it is paying off.

^Past Irritation to Clear Benefits^

Moon in Aries   ***

Most of what was said yesterday remains pertinent. Repeating myself does not seem advantageous.

Humanistic sciences or enterprises are good. You could hold the center of the stage among any you care to impress, including younger people. Your mental acumen is earning gains in your profession, career, or job. What you choose to study will bring benefits.

Apart from that, the continuing T square (no longer the more difficult X square) focused on Saturn in Sagittarius shows a care and concern about your home and neighbors or neighborhood. Maybe something there needs remedial attention.

In afternoon and early evening, Luna accentuates the quincunx between Mars and Uranus by her conjunction with the latter and quincunx with the former. Intense. A neighbor or relative is a mischief-maker, or one of you owes something to the other. Communications may be fraught with possessiveness or envy.

But the underlying trine of Venus with Neptune, and her sextile with Jupiter, will save the day. People are trying their best to be decent, kind, and harmonious.

In the evening you may comprehend something about your work, or a project, which makes it clearer and more serviceable, and could lend you prestige..

P. S.  Today a friend wrote me about Donald Trump and his horoscope. I don't feel free to post his message, but here is my reply:

Excellent, Gene. You are saying many things I have thought of about his chart, and him.

Also apart from all else he exemplifies the worse side of Gemini, the "con artist," as in the disastrous Trump University. The Mercury-Neptune square amplifies that. Pie in the sky for a nifty price. Will enough voters buy it?

His sun conjoined to the U.S. natal Mars at 20 Gemini shows his appeal to male voters enamored of an earlier era in their country's history.

Neptune, positive or negative, often shows something people want to believe in even if something in them tells them it may not be true. Trump has mastered the art of attracting them to his flypaper.

As for the "puer aeternus," yes, and that is shown also by his rising sign, Leo, with Mars in that sign in the first house! What could be clearer as a designation of the Puer Aeternus, Eternal Boy! Mars in Leo in the house of appearance, the yellow hair and red baseball cap! Perfect. [His birthtime has been verified as most likely correct by the Astrodienst people or those whose evaluations are on their site.]

His high-focus Uranus (glad you pointed it out) is trine his Jupiter exactly--an aspect of sometimes absurd optimism. "We can do anything! I can do anything!"

I am always surprised that more astrologers do not study Grant Lewi. Here is what he says about Trump's sun-moon combination, written many years before the man was born (sun in Gemini, moon in Sagittarius, from Lewi's Heaven Knows What):

"Things at a distance make an appeal to you with the result that you are always on the move. . . . When you apply that imagination of yours to your friends and start to tell tall tales about them--look out! You love to hold the center of the stage and to appear to know the inside dope on any and all subjects--with the result that what you say is frequently unreliable. Not that you mean to tell untruths, but your imagination is so vivid that you really believe what you say and can make others believe it. . . . [An attribute of Mercury-square-Neptune also, but Lewi got it exactly right just from the sun-moon combination.] A tendency to tell all you know and to invent what you don't know is likely to get you into trouble. There isn't an ounce of malice in your nature, but you can set whole neighborhoods by the ears with a carelessly dropped hint of scandal. . . . You are restless, and tire of people, and this position frequently leads to more than one marriage. . . . You are popular, lively and gay in company, very expressive, and a pretty good listener. Your facility in speech and movement makes you a good actor while your peculiar brand of tact makes it possible for you to succeed in a business or political career. [He likes to present himself as the Great Negotiator.] You are a hard person to pin down and can get around a good many situations that would stump others."

Kudos to Grant Lewi, truly one of the finest writers on astrology who ever lived.

And you, Gene, have written something remarkable also, I hope plenty of people will see it. Thank you for sharing it.

^Self-Respect plus Cordiality^

Moon in Aries   ****

Aspects are getting smoother. The Grand Square is loosening. There is less anxiety. Much seems focused, today on career, job, or one's status in the world. Whatever you are doing, you hope it will be recognized as valuable by the world at large, or at least some segment of the population.

Communications are crucial, and also something to improve your living conditions. People are sweet and gentle, often.

Something heartening in the world is going on, and the sense of crisis has been eased. We have been in hysteria over politics, terrorism, immigration, Brexit, harsh racial and life-style divisions, but all that seems to be relaxing. (I don't say totally, of course. Only when there is a New Humanity.)

|Karmically difficult or sobering third| of this week ends at 4:14p PT | 7:14p ET | 11:14p UT   ** /

Long-term, long-lasting aspects are improving day by day.

The continuing Yod with Mars retrograde in Scorpio at focus suggests a need and desire to see justice done. A legal case could get your attention. And there might be something involving a neighbor who is going through changes.

Especially before the void-of-course time there is an opportunity for learning, for focusing on mental activities (perhaps at home even if they have implications for your job or a project). That is fostered by Luna's stimulating square with Mercury, which includes wit and ready adaptability. It could be a good day for writers and thinkers. Efficiency is available. You could take a position in leading or teaching someone or a group.

~Adaptability~

Moon in Pisces
|Karmically challenging or sobering third| of this week all day (until Sunday evening)   ** |

There's so much to say and so little time to say it. I insist on taking Saturdays off as my weekly sabbatical so have to finish two days' work today.

I could go on and on about Brexit, but you may be full to the gills with information and opinions about that already. It is a fascinating study, astrologically.

1. I am convinced that the daily charts are the most important in understanding world events. I believe also in semi-monthly (fortnightly) and weekly charts, but they lack the sharpness and accuracy of the daily ones. That is why I continue to write these forecasts in a daily format.

2. Afterview is of course always easier, but in the kind of phenomenological experiential and experimental astrology I am doing here, afterview is as important as foreview. It leads to understanding of what has just happened. And that can be miraculous.

3. I did not predict Brexit, because I don't feel astrological positions can force a free-will decision on a person or a people. I went with the British betting-odds masters in suggesting that Remain would win, and they were wrong. (A little class error there, maybe? They deal with upper-echelon types who have plenty to spend on gambling and of course all those types were against Brexit.)

4. Nevertheless, I was queasy on Wednesday when I studied the aspects for Thursday, for they included a sharp (less than one degree) sesqui-square between Venus and Mars, which suggests anger and separation rather than harmony. They included also a tri-septile (fateful) aspect between Venus and Saturn, with Venus in Cancer, the sign of home, and Saturn in Sagittarius, the sign of internationalism.  (Two degrees always allowed for this one.) This is a very unhappy aspect. It suggests grievances, and indeed the feeling of many Britons that their land, their homes, their schools, and their general medical practitioners were being taken away from them by immigrants was a key ingredient in the vote. Sometimes astrology is delightfully naive and clear. What could be simpler than "home rule" versus "international rule" in this case? That was what was happening--planets in Cancer the home sign in conflict with Saturn in Sagittarius the international sign (among other things). Venus is the love planet, and the voters were in love with their home; Saturn is the harsh disciplinary planet and in Sagittarius it shows how they felt they were being ordered around by bureaucrats in Brussels. So they chose Venus over Saturn! Nothing could have been more natural, astrologically. (That does not mean I necessarily agree with the voting; I have no opinion really, since as an American it is none of my business.)

5. The inevitable fallout, the shaking up of international currency and equity markets, is also shown astrologically, by the Yod ("finger of G*d") configuration with Mars in Scorpio at its center. On Thursday the Yod was composed of a tri-septile from Mars to Mercury on one side and a quincunx from Mars to Uranus on the other (exact both within one degree). Mars retrograde in Scorpio, the "other people's money" sign, thus afflicted, and also bi-octile (sesqui-square) Venus (luscious flowing cash), and also septile Pluto (plutocracy), with not a single "good" or smooth aspect, shows what happened: Stock prices falling drastically everywhere in the world.

6. The Part of Fortune Thursday during the vote was in the 8th house, the house of "death" most dramatically, but according to Marc Edmund Jones, while it is there it shows "the effort or need for escape from one complex of experience to another."  What could be a more telling designation of Brexit?

7. The very long-lasting Grand Square is still with us--and this is quite unusual. It is intense. By less than seven degrees, Saturn is opposite Mercury, Neptune is opposite Jupiter, and all those planets are in square with each other. While I have seen, over the years, that sextiles and trines between Mercury and Jupiter show good luck financially and in business, the square between those two shows either loss or a foolish gambling streak or some other bit of bad judgment. It is fascinating that, as I reported yesterday, while the vote was going on in the British Isles I overheard a man in Seattle say accusingly to his wife, "That was bad judgment." I think quite a few, even some who voted for the exit, may be wondering how good their judgment was.

All hindview, you might say, yet the more we study such things the better foreview we may develop.

Saturday: The Grand Square is fading, because Mercury is moving ahead and no longer opposite Saturn (greater than 10 degrees) and no longer square Neptune (depending on orb; in these daily charts I am now using 7.5 degrees).  But Mars is still the focus of a yod. Many investors are troubled, no doubt, about what happened Friday and on tenterhooks about Monday. The usual (until July-August) weekend |difficult third| is ameliorated by the moon's trine with Venus, exact in the afternoon, and sextile with Pluto in the evening. That could be some cheer to hold on to, for Venus is also trine Neptune by two degrees, suggesting a bit of a lark, or free easy fulfillment, or entertainment.  That is the best I can do to cheer us up. Heaven knows we may be needing that. There may be secrecy and some suspicion in friendship, but you can adapt yourself to whatever comes up and "tack with the wind and tide" (Grant Lewi).

* / |
Moon enters Pisces (no longer void-of-course) at 7:32p PT | 10:32p ET | 2:32a(Sa) UT   ** |

The above indications are precise, and could be helpful in precise planning. Yet they are only one way of looking at things, and the larger longer-lasting aspects of the day might be more important depending on your situation. All this is designed to aid your common sense and intuition.

So, for example, you might find it hard or confusing to plan tonight's activities, during the day, but somehow things might come together late at night (but later on the East Coast than on the West). Or you may find some way to finesse all that earlier and have a good time despite uncertainties. I hope so.

As I write on Thursday, it is raining in London and in Seattle! I know about the rain in the U. K. because the media are announcing it as a reason for delays in people getting to their polling stations for the big vote on whether Britain stays in the European Union.

Did the meteorologists predict that there might be rain in both Seattle and London today? I don't know, but as an astrologer I know that the tri-septile between Saturn and Venus, the latter being in a water sign (Cancer), while Mars in another water sign (Scorpio) is bi-octile Venus in Cancer (water sign), suggest troubles connected with water. Of course, from another viewpoint, rain is essential to the growth of plants, trees, and foodstuffs, and so good for the planet! This is an interesting indication of how "hard" or "bad" aspects such as these can seem "hard" or "bad" to human beings (if they are not farmers) while actually being felicitous. This is but one of endless lessons one can learn by studying astrology and following the daily motions of the planets as we are doing here. Further, I believe that if the statisticians would get off their collective arses and study astrology seriously they might find that statistically there is more rain over the whole planet while the moon is in Aquarius or Pisces. So it has appeared to my observation.

The more important question, to investors and many others, is how the vote in Britain will go, which is likely to be historic. I cannot pretend to predict that any better than the bookmakers in London, and they have mostly predicted "Remain." I hope so. While the skies are saying "Merain."

The tri-septile between Venus and Saturn is a real thing. I discovered that quite a few years ago while writing these reports. There were days when I had predicted a lot of nice things, and those predictions failed. I learn from experience. Then I checked the so-called "minor" aspects, and found that there were septiles, bi-septiles, or tri-septiles between Saturn and Venus on those days, within two degrees of orb (the orb which the gargantuan astrologer Marc Edmund Jones chose for them). And so I learned something. I used that knowledge in the forecast for Thursday, when I said "The tri-septile of Venus and Saturn is especially hard, as are all aspects between those two planets. It lasts another day. One can find something to mourn about. Something to feel down about. Some suffering or tragedy one can relate to, or memories from the past, or inadequacies in the present."

Combine that with the harsh sesqui-square between Mars and Venus (by less than one degree) and you have what I observerd on the patio of a restaurant today. A middle-aged man was talking on his cell phone to his wife, calling her honey, but the tension in the conversation was evident. When he got angry he said "That was bad judgment."  He was not having his dinner with her.

Earlier in the day, there was a semi-fracas involving three or four of my neighbors concerning events in the building. It was upsetting to all, though not tragic.

And so, although I point out the |difficult third| of the week faithfully, based on the moon-Saturn cycle, there are other days which seem perhaps equally difficult.

Yet all was not lost; I had a good time in some regards and so did some others I observed, up to a point. Yet there was an undertone of anxiety. I have trained myself to observe this over the years. Astrology to me is a science. I temper and modify the forecasts according to what I have seen repeatedly over the years in connection with certain aspects. All one has to do is accept the basic premise that we are all responding to certain aspects in a similar way at the same time in order to notice how your neighbors, friends, family, and everyone are reacting on certain days. We don't see it ordinarily because we are misled by the false presupposition that we are each hermetically sealed into his or her own container of personal feelings and experiences. Not so, according to what I have observed.

On Friday, by later afternoon and evening the moon is beginning to trine both the sun and Venus, so we can hope that the evening will be smoother than the daytime. Other aspects are somewhat fateful, including a tri-septile Yod with Pluto, Mars, and Mercury, focused on Mercury. This could be strong, harsh, careful, controversial thinking. It could be disturbing or exhilarating according to one's attitude.

Always, regardless of aspects, we can look for the better in one another and either find it or hope for it or project it by faith. That makes everything better.

P. S. I had wanted to post here something from Sri Aurobindo, but, first, it takes a lot of time to re-type it, and second, I am not sure anyone wants to read it. I will try to paraphrase a little of it. The Supreme Lord is both impersonal and personal. Buddhists take Him or Her as It, totally impersonal, or Nirvana. Hindus of the Vaishnava group at least, and Christians and Jews, take Him as personal, and so do I. Sri Aurobindo explains in the most painstaking and admirable language possible, over many paragraphs and pages, not in one book but in many, how it is that the Highest, the Supreme, the Infinite, can also be a Person. This is beyond the human mind's comprehension, which is why we bow down to Him or Her! Do I have to say more? There comes a point when one can only say, "Either you get it or you don't." If you don't yet, please read the Gospel of John together with whatever you can from Sri Aurobindo. A relationship with Him, or Her, is more valuable than anything else you could seek. This is an infinite Person, not a finite one. But He or She is capable of intimately personal relations with you, and of love. How much more do I have to say?

Moon in Aquarius   ***

It is a hard time to make predictions. There are a lot of so-called minor aspects which look troublesome. Yet we are in the period from June 22 through July 15 I have pointed out as a happy time.

The bi-septile of Venus and Saturn is especially hard, as are all aspects between those two planets. It lasts another day. One can find something to mourn about. Something to feel down about. Some suffering or tragedy one can relate to, or memories from the past, or inadequacies in the present.

There is also a sesqui-square (bi-octile) between Venus and Mars. Love, where hast thou flown? Those who ought to be loving toward each other are instead irritated, it seems. Unless they enjoy some sort of sado-masochism.

Then the Mars-Uranus quincunx we have elaborated upon already. Tonight it took the form of more violence in my mind--because for months I have been intending to watch the Netflix series Making a Murderer, and tonight I felt it inevitable that I watch the first episode. I am very glad I did, but of course it is not pleasant stuff. If you don't know, it's a documentary about a man sent to prison for 18 years for a crime he did not commit, and then much more trouble after that. If you haven't seen it, I certainly recommend at least the first episode, which shows how horribly evil our "criminal injustice system" can be even in as supposedly enlightened a state as Wisconsin. It was only The Innocence Project which finally liberated this man. And that is dear to my heart for I have been a frequent donor to it for quite a few years. It is fascinating that I finally started watching this series under the aegis of the Mars-Uranus quincunx which shows, in a word, cruelty, too often. Police and prosecutors deliberately, falsely, and cruelly put this man behind bars in the prime of his life while he had a beloved wife and five children. They knew what they were doing and had no good motive for it.

I do not believe that this three-star day is very good for fun or entertainment. I have to be the grinch again. It is good for serious stuff, whatever that may be in your life.

They call him Nowhere Man, not sure of anything but that
The world has done him wrong. Yet he gets inspired
When he does his work forging and shaping metals.
He has an equally masterful touch when countering litigants.

When the volcano erupts, the crowds come down the mountain
To listen to the man they trust. He leads them
As if they were docile deer, yet undeceived by any
Deception he or anyone could perpetrate.

The woman misled by counterfeit love, mere seduction,
Is like a grounded dove attacked by a looming
Hissing snake. Nowhere Man, happening on the scene,
Explodes in indignation. Some volcanoes spew out justice.

The prophet speaking in the plain insists the terror is past.
Whether high or low, the remnant form a nucleus.

P. S.  If you pray, please pray for those in prison, especially those falsely accused or unjustly sentenced. There are far too many of them.

Moon in Capricorn-->Aquarius   ***
/moon goes void-of-course at 1:58a PT | 4:58a ET | 8:58a UT   ** /
until it enters Aquarius at 1:10p PT | 4:10p ET | 11:10p UT   ***

The 24-day period of generally helpful, happy vibrations, facilitating good times, is upon us, through July 15. Of course, every day there are changes in the tighter aspects and the lunar ones, but I marked out that period as possibly a good one for a summer vacation in case it might help someone's planning. And the other period I suggested is most of September (beginning on the 10th), if you are not afraid of a (mellow I believe) Mercury-retrograde period.

Today Mercury's exact square with Jupiter can show overeagerness, a desire to gamble a little rather than buckle down to face facts which would prevent loss. Marking the details is important. Barging ahead would not be wise unless you feel certain or else are willing to take a risk.

And then, as if to mock my prediction of a felicitous period beginning today, there is a bi-septile between Venus and Saturn. This can be apprehension in the emotions, a sense of anxiety or lack of reciprocity from people. Coupled with the previous paragraph, this could add up to "Nothing is working, I feel miserable, so why not go to the race track?" or casino or bar or nightclub . . .

But Jupiter's trine with Pluto is also near-exact, plus three quintiles involving the sun, good-luck aspects. Staying with the smartest course you have chosen is likely to bring benefits despite any initial skepticism.

Being understanding, sympathetic and considerate is a plus. It would gain prestige for you. You could gain acclaim by being around or within groups of people. An aristocratic bearing raises people up rather than making them feel inferior. If patient, you will ultimately display and find warmth and sincerity everywhere.
