Flipping from the small-orb aspects I often use for the daily charts, to a larger orb using mostly the major aspects, I see that the X Cross or X Square (it goes by both names) is still with us, now with Mercury rather than sun-Venus as the fourth planet in addition to Saturn, Jupiter, and Neptune. This is rather intense, and took sad form in the Orlando events which are still heavy on the public consciousness. That happened, naturally, during a |difficult third of the week| (last Saturday-Sunday). I have been saying for weeks that the weekends now (into July) are not good party days. Of course one ought not to be paranoid, but the events in Orlando were a too-intense indication of the |karmically challenging or sobering third|, which will be with us again this weekend. 

Meanwhile Thursday looks fairly smooth, if one disregards the long-term X Cross which is trying to get us to shape our lives in solidly real directions in accord with our highest ideals. If we are not doing that, we feel something is amiss. 

Good news on Thursday is Venus's bi-quintile with Mars. This is a hint of love, attraction, and mutual appreciation. The astrologer's job is hard when there is this sort of playgirl-playboy indication but also the more serious indications just mentioned. Which will prevail? Both, and that is life--tears and laughter on the same day. But if the critic of astrology forgets the tears, he will say the astrologer was wrong, or if he forgets the laughter. If he remembers both, he may see that the astrologer did the best he could at predicting life's frequent contrarieties. 

See how things are going for you from about 10 a.m. to 6 p.m Pacific, or 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. Eastern. Luna will be sextile first Jupiter and then Pluto, bringing out the trine between them, which is a helpful financial aspect, or good for other sorts of material good fortune. If it doesn't mean largesse at the moment, it might show that you are engaged in plans or actions which will bring largesse soon. (For those in India, that would be later in the evening or during sleep time, but the effects could be felt earlier.)

The tough and impersonal, analytic side of people is coming forward, along with their charm. But the charm might take the driver's seat because the Part of Fortune is in the 5th sector of children, youth, entertainment and pleasure. As the unwilling grinch I would say, enjoy it while you can before the more questionable Friday-Sunday period when a retreat or less actively social period may be more appropriate.
