We enter into the final phase of the lunar month (about a week) when the moon is declining, and often one feels a little less energy at those times, physically, but plenty of internal or spiritual energy. If you have an exercise program it might be harder to keep up with it during the next week and yet you can do it. Perhaps it would be wise to be a little less exacting on yourself in that regard (unless it is a major issue with you) while keeping up with career issues.

1  If you do gardening, it might be specially pleasing or productive. You enhance some things by trimming them, or perhaps weeding. Modifications you make in any part of your situation stem from what you have learned through the gentility of your family background.

2  Books are important, and tracts of land with trees. So you could read in a park or on the lawn of a mansion. If not, that image could guide you to whatever is reliable and placidly instructive.

3  Placidity is good, up to a point, but not if it opens you to something negative, or robs you of continuity in your efforts, which increase your vitality. If your heart is in your tasks, the result is tasteful as well as useful.

4  There could be losses, perhaps through prior carelessness, but you could be delivered from serious loss by a spin of good fortune. There could be help from superiors.

5  You detect that some individuals feel miserable and abandoned (Saturn retrograde in Scorpio tri-septile both Uranus and Mars). They may try to overcome the fickleness of fate by eating too much or wandering irresponsibly. The liberation this gives is temporary and needs something more, namely, the spiritual liberation which grants a propensity to carry out necessary duties.

6  There is fruitfulness, much to please in your home or near it, plus curiosity which leads you to observe the stream of things. Goodness of heart and a broad, open temperament do much to counteract troubles or worries. When you reminisce, reliving experiences involving family, friends, or a group, you get back to the present with renewed interest and competence.

1  You want to get information right. This is a preciseness, as of a scientist.  You want no disassociation. Things are either this way or that, in terms of physical, scientific or technical matters. Which? You can find out. There is harmony between yourself and the materials with which you work, and further you have responsive aplomb with people (moon in Pisces, with trines among Mercury, Saturn and Neptune). 

2  Sadistic tendencies can be either cruel (the worst) or erotic (not as bad if playful). Understanding gained through cultivated reading (not the Marquis de Sade) can ease or dispel such obsessions which, let us hope, are childish but harmless.

3  An intense power of concentration need not be wasted, but can be applied to scientific (possibly occult or metaphysical) interests. You want to get to the nitty-gritty or indubitable essence. You could be petulant in this, pushing aside those who would interfere (because not understanding). A benediction may be received through such mental effort.

4  Those who do not believe in obsession by spirit companions might be obsessed anyway. They want to reveal themselves and stimulate others, or their obsessing companions do. This might make for interesting, quickening displays of contradictory statements and impulses.

5  Someone who seems wrecked, or who has gotten himself into a position of abandonment, may come to your attention. You are not repulsed, but feel the poignancy of his or her situation. This person has sincere affections which have often been frustrated; and talents or mental skills which might be at the genius level, no matter the appearance. 

6  Dreams unfulfilled make one morose, downcast or given to misgivings. Yet within lurks the same hope children have shortly before Christmas. There are prodigal possibilities of compensation and reward. It doesn't matter if your union with someone is shallow, because if it is thoughtful it will override his pessimism and doubt, awakening an irrepressible side of her or him, channeling restlessness into personal energy. 1  Some of your studies may take you into the past, either history, philosophy or some kind of scripture or sacred text. Here is a form of internal security. Along with that goes your individual take on it, which can be creative, so that you are not just parroting old teachings but opening them into your individual dimension, which can be fun. It develops your own kind of seership.

2  Friendships can form spontaneously and sympathetically. People want to chat or connect however possible. You might aid someone to cut back something in his output or craftsmanship, that is, trim it to be more effective. This enhances its beauty.

3  Accidents are possible, especially among those who have been careless in their use of alcohol or drugs (sun has been square Neptune over the holiday weekend and now). It is well to rise beyond an undercurrent of resentment which could sour things, poison the waters, and result in a painful interaction. Actually the good fortune you have had recently is still with you if you don't spoil it.

4  Uncertainties and trials are stages in the process toward completion of what you want, especially in terms of an important partnership. The roughness of the course does not indicate that the result will not be harmonious. A researcher or lover of the arts could take a prominent place in your attentions. 

5  Personal freedom is important now, with Pluto square to Uranus (as it has been for months and shall continue the rest of this year and longer). That, however, is an abstraction unless you can define particular issues in your life where you want to be more free and get a grip on them. Free of what? of course is a question you would have to answer for yourself. In politics, some think government is the tyrant, others corporations. Of course it can be both at various times and in various situations, or both together. It can be disillusioning to get the facts on some of the manipulations and covert deals which go on, as Julian Assange and his gang did--and paid a high price. I focus on individual living here, not politics. It is possible of course to get lost in politics and neglect one's own approach to economic freedom, as well as the reverse. There are indications that a woman or women may be the answer to many of our problems in the future. Their conscientiousness and self-reliance will be granting them dominion more and more, in politics as well as business. 

6  Conquests of the mind are real conquests. With Venus, Mercury and Jupiter in Gemini and two of them quintile Uranus, the fruits of study and learning are evident. Your capabilities are enhanced as you exercise them either in tandem with or opposition to someone else's thinking-ability and skill. This kind of interaction seems emphasized now. For the loner, it could be interaction with an invisible person, as the author of a book. For others it could be face-to-face interaction which includes mutual intellectual cultivation and love.

}Overcoming Melancholy{

1  The impatience of Uranus square Pluto could impel some in power positions to be harsh with those who are accused of impropriety or crime. This is not good, especially if there is incompleteness in the evidence or in considering extenuating circumstances. It is well to turn to the reassuring continuity of the good things in life, and retain confidence in the discretion and decency of others.

2  Life is enhanced through expending yourself in activities which have their reward built into them. Then you feel free to relax and explore further. The originality of your approach even to trivial things makes you feel liberated.

3  There could be an emphasis on rescuing people. This requires carefulness and attention to detail, with a continuity of effort rather than vacillation. 

4  Good fortune enables you to focus on a multitude of things which interest you and display your skill. It might be good to turn also to a long-term major goal which would be worthy of your ambition.

5  All of us feel sometimes that our toils are not bearing enough fruit to make them worth while. Perhaps it would help to give thought and time to assisting someone else. That could dispel a roadblock to your own fulfillment by opening doors in your consciousness to the good fortune of all. One can at the very least pray for help for those in trouble or needing healing of any kind, whether of illness, poverty or other problems. The G*d-given ability to do that is a great privilege. Those who don't believe in prayer may find that putting one's thoughts in favor of someone needing help as if one could aid through psychokinesis does something similar (although a link to the Highest to me is essential). You can surround the person you think of with a matrix of beneficence.

6  There could be melancholy, and brooding on things or people which have passed from the current scene. At such times one might feel one would appreciate a long ocean voyage. There is aloofness, when that is desired. On the other hand, a spontaneous quality could emerge in a joking way, unexpectedly and pleasingly. As suggested in #3 and #5, trying to rescue someone from suffering could be a key to your own well-being and happiness. The transmission of happiness to someone unhappy would indeed be a remarkable victory.

1  Trying things is important, essential. You can do more than you realize, even if that is a short-term demonstration of some feeble power or skill which becomes less feeble by using it. You can rely on inborn temerity, that of a child of a certain age, to try the impossible. Experimenting is fun.

2  Friendship, or attempted friendship, is wonderful. It may be evanescent or long-lasting, but in any case an elixir. You can be elevated beyond any feelings of depression readily by an adroit attitude, affirming that good things and people are with you: making that true.

3  There can be enormous luck if you tap into it almost carelessly, serendipitously. It is not covetous to enjoy what falls to you. It could be covetous to withhold some of it from others if it is the right occasion to share. Your mind is balanced to do the best thing easily.

4  You weigh and measure things, ideas, possibilities. Scientific research may come up in conversation or thought and you are up for that or for pondering it. You evaluate art and music adroitly, estimating the value of the craft used in creating it. 

5  Turning around and retracing your steps is possible at any time, and you may do it frequently, but through it all there is contentment and peace. Even if you decide some pastime or connection is no longer pleasurable or serviceable, dropping it for something else is easy, courteous and graceful. You execute your wishes smoothly as the day unfolds.

6  It's Memorial Day in the U. S. and this can be bittersweet. By putting this day in the Spring we seem to intimate that those who are gone are like the returning flowers, always with us when that is felicitous. Some of them have more occult wisdom and power than we do. It is important to believe in recovery. Feeling that some loss, including that of a person, is irretrievable is a sad mistake. Age is not a factor. People have found personal love at 80 or later. The quest for it is more successful when less obvious. Whether one uses powers of persuasion, or finds someone persuading oneself, interesting (though chancy and peculiar) potentials are with us.

1  Despite the |difficult third|, which tends toward self-intent loneliness, here can be fun and experiment, although you tend toward the artificial rather than the natural. Your assumptions guide the course of events.

2  Remarkable people want to be friends. They seem unpromising at first but are unselfish, kindly, expressing honesty. You can have free-form fun with them. They and you bring an exalting influence to one another.

3  There may be harassment from some who are trying too hard too fast to realize high goals and so are impatient with you (and everyone). Nevertheless you as a trader, surveillor, surveyor or prospector can find what is prospering expeditiously.

1  There could be darkness, confusion of mind, a feeling that you are struggling on and not sure where you are going, but you keep schlepping. You are resigned to your fate, to some degree, yet have an exalted view of possibilities which keep you optimistic. This is an unconditioned creativity you need not ever lose.

2  Loneliness and desertion are more apparent than real. However, the appearance of them inspires you to demonstrate that you are still here and important, that what you do is significant and deserves sustenance. You represent something and will continue to do that no matter how inconvenient. 

3  Ideas of revenge, or that someone ought to be punished, are poisonous. They may occur to you, but if you started to let them grow in you they could disrupt everything you really want from life. Actually enormous blessings, even materially, are within your reach, largess delivered from the universe to any who are willing to surveil, explore and discover. 

4  Personal amusement is not wrong. Some Hindu scriptures, especially the Puranas, represent Krishna as a boy playing, manifesting his Lilas or divine play-acts for the entertainment of the cosmos, human beings (especially devotees) and Himself. All that can be highly inspiring to one who feels devoid of energy, hope, courage. It's why we have a profusion of plays, movies, street entertainers, comedians, singers.

5  How much failure is due to not exerting oneself enough in one's favored direction, and how much is due to exerting oneself in a direction not intended by nature or one's highest self? The latter is being pointed out as something we should consider to make sure we are not doing it. There is a "do or die" aspect to the day, a feeling that you want to gamble and win! Yet this is more than a gamble: a test of your skill and persistence. If you feel nervous, that is probably a sign you can go ahead and try, so long as you feel sure deep within that this is the best course for you. Then, even failure would be an instructive blessing.

6  You may be detached from much which others think important. You are finding your own way. It may seem to some that you are merely playing with life, not serious, yet you have quiet calm purposes you are trying to put into effect in an eccentric manner. Culture manifests in small things as well as large, strings of beads as well as cathedrals, sometimes even in indifference to what most consider important--if one has a different path.

1  Despondency can be overcome with fun. Delays allow you to shift course and appreciate something unusual which is exciting.

2  There is a gregarious and joyous quality. It is fearless, ready to try something out of the blue, dispelling worries in freshness, sharing with anyone and everyone.

3  A darker side of things could pass by at times, a concern taking the form of wanting to punish someone. Whatever the source of this, it would make you poorer, taking from you glorious possessions you might otherwise enjoy if divorced from that impulse toward revenge.

4  A large building comes into view, which has two distinct facets. It has artistic value for you. You may wish to study or ponder it. Somehow it links the living with the so-called dead (who are really alive). Fine sensibilities lead to a spiritual plane.

5  There are some potentials of weakness, suffering, even illness. Whatever protects you from these should be invoked. You wish to explore, which is good, if careful not to take an overly eccentric foolish path. You are finding a way to transcend mere convention, routine, and earthliness. That does not have to be a dangerous way.

6  Let's not lose our ability to enjoy life. Whether through indifference, over-exertion, striving in a wrong direction, or missing childlike appreciation of everything, it is possible to miss the glory of interest and joy in sheer living and experiencing. We do not have to do that.  Impulses coming from nowhere, if genial and kindly, awaken thrills in everyone. No matter how humble, inexpensive or ordinary, life is filled with deep satisfaction for the one able to meet it with detached yet alive appreciation.

1  An elevated state of mind is good. It gives you a feeling of freedom in the midst of duties. You can treasure your vision of the Highest, and be devoted to the highest you have yet realized in your soul. This will remove resistance to that Highest in the world or people around you.

2  Those who feel blighted by life might be older ones, or younger ones who feel old already. Yet age does not have to be filled with desertion by others or loss of hopes. Differences among people can be fascinating, and one can touch base with those who share specialized interests. This is an advantageous anchorage in something familiar yet ever-changing because of varying perspectives.

3  Could one be totally unknown, yet strong and content? Like Caspar the friendly ghost? You may have intimations of such a state. One sees that one has been foolish, and that some others are foolish, yet one does not have to give in any further to foolhardiness. 

4  Moral courage and energy can arise from surprising places in one's consciousness. What are considered "lower passions" or desires sometimes have a vivifying effect if not indulged in a dissipating way to depletion. Then they may be sources of craftsmanship, one's particular devotion to a talent, hobby or creative pastime.

5  Straining after things which are not according to the rules of Nature or Her Lord is a common human failing. Sometimes it is the "necessary error" preceding a turn-around to something better. A love of the marvelous is not wrong, if it takes form in wonder, beauty, music, sharing, harmony and love. There may be those whose greed has led them to lie. Somehow they can get the better of crooked cravings, let us hope earlier rather than later and with less rather than greater suffering.

6  Aspirations are usually higher than attainments. That is something we have to live with, and not let it diminish our faith in ourselves or our visions. A little relaxed recreation could be restorative. Being around other people is a tonic. It's something like sharing the wealth. Then you  feel like continuing to execute lofty hopes and plans. Common experiences in public places bring a higher tone to personal endeavors.

1  You might just drift through things. Work does not interest you. You dream of far-away places. This might reach the level of perversion. You want to be elevated above the humdrum.

2  To anchor yourself you might study something serious, the older the better. The background of history and philosophy is crucial to getting ourselves in shape to understand what is really going on. Or, for many, the Bible suffices as the "anchorage book." Whatever you use, it can enfold you in hope; make you less fearful of being abandoned by life, lost in meaninglessness.

3  You live within yourself; a thinker with secrets. You are confident that no matter what happens financially, you will recover. You have a mission which no one can take away, no matter how controversial it seem.

4  You want something wild and romantic; you don't care how nebulous and peculiar as long as it satisfies a craving for the spectacular. If there is a touch of sadness in it, this does not bother you; one can watch a sad film and find merit and beauty beyond, within, encompassing the hard parts. 

5  Exerting yourself in a direction which hurts you is not good unless you are positive that it is the right direction. More likely, it can be modified through renunciation of something you think you need but do not. If you remember someone dignified and trustworthy, and try to follow clues from his life, you may gain protection and live through the day  more safely and securely.

6  The sadness of blighted hopes in the realm of interpersonal relations seems to be with us. It's not just you and your friend or partner; it is something going on universally, to teach us something. We never see the world, ourselves, and the Other as the Other sees the world, ourselves, and himself or herself. Shocking revelation! Yet there is external agreement on some things, and on those things on which you and the Other agree there can be a consistency of relationship built up one way or another. It does not look easy at the present time. You may be a steward of something for this Other, that is, he or she may have something you want to cherish, so that you could reassure her or him. Maybe someone is more sensitive to apparent neglect than you realize. Sweet, kindly reassurance is possible--a little may go a long way.

1  A fixed, solid purpose can soar toward solid accomplishment. Your elevated thoughts and hopes are your allies if you defer to them.

2  Aloneness or lonesomeness can lead to indignation and haranguing. Everybody is wrong and that is why I feel isolated. Asking yourself "On what do I and this person agree?" could be good therapy.

3  Someone with a powerful mission, a world mission, comes into view. He can discover and use whatever means he needs to accomplish high purposes. His evident sincerity wins his way.

4  You see into people; sense what they are about. If they seem despondent you might sense something which could help them. Your patronage of them could lead to patronage for you.

5  Honor may depend on prowess, your use of intelligence to press ahead. You have seen where wrong paths go and so can choose better ones. There is a longing for a status which can be gained only through semi-heroism.

6  In order to avoid drabness and futile efforts, one needs to make smart and sharp selection of what one wants to do, in order to take charge of life. What are your real interests? Laboring at them is not a mistake. A hobby or something which gives you pleasure could be a complement of career activities. Then, when others are helpless, you can command, because you are integrated, that is, the part of you which loves pleasures is united with the part of you which is rigidly self-disciplined, and that is an unbeatable combination.

~Taking Command Over Dangers~

As you can see from the above, this is not an easy day. Do not despair, but be cued up for difficulties so you can be on top of them. 

1  There can be hurry, which involves shallowness and restlessness. At times this can be an elevated mood which is quite naive, as if you were a child free of responsibilities and worries. Then you face the fact that you have assignments to carry out and must get on with them.

2  If you feel defeated and abandoned, you can retreat to an inward mental sense of things, an all-awareness, a participation in the joys and victories of others through imagination or vicarious experience. This we do through movies, TV series, novels and so on, or more creatively perhaps in our own night- and day- dreams. It grants relief. Some may say this is illusion, delusion, and escape, but it could be what gives you renewed orientation to life so you can carry on. It expands the significance of things so you want to carry on.

3  Being aware of a great leader or teacher will help. This is someone who is often misunderstood. We admire more easily those who gain wealth or fame, not so easily do we "get" the glory of one who is visionary and lives his ethical or spiritual vision. Nor do we see usually that this is the greatest adventure possible. The purely material adventure peters out and loses its allure; the spiritual adventure goes on from one level of fulfillment to another endlessly.

4  The melancholy of the moon in the Via Combusta close to Saturn can be a depth of penetration into the mysteries of death and life. One can find out what one really totally trusts. Rather than giving up and weeping (although weeping can be an intensely valuable spiritual experience) one finds deeper reserves of faith and loyalty which inspire continued endeavor.

5  There may be misdirected efforts, in your approach or others' approaches, and this can waste time. What are you doing which is so far against the stream of things that it would benefit you to liquidate it? At the same time, the natural and human beauty of the world is available, within your view if you notice it, in the talented ones whose shows, put on for the rest of us, lift us out of the humdrum, if only a street musician.

6  You may feel you are stumbling through life, dropping or losing things, missing opportunities, bungling your schedule. Welcome to the club. Disciplining your powers is perhaps all that can help. I am a firm believer in (rather: knower of) the help of the Supreme Lord, manifest for those who put their faith in Him just as the Psalms declare, yet it is obvious that He also wants us to use our own abilities and skills (granted by Him) and this is a day for that. Fateful things are happening (septiles and tri-septiles among the planets as well as the lunar indications above) and we need to protect ourselves in some way, through prayer first of all and through whatever is revealed as the best use of our powers. There is danger of ignoring one's powers. Taking command requires courage and self-control. This could involve mostly avoiding problems or finessing them quickly in the early part of the day (see above, before the moon enters Scorpio) and then, later, being more progressive with carrying out what seem deeply important activities, though with calm forbearance and wise caution. There could be camaraderie with those who share one's most pressing concerns.
