The “king” trusting to his “throne” while “a figure veiled in black” is hiding behind it has many parallels on the political scene, and I know of at least one among people I know. It’s a matter of risking a fall by “essaying feats beyond one’s natural powers” and thereby angering Fate or human beings. However, if one has force of character one could be “a person climbing a rock in the midst of a fierce storm. Flashes of lightning reveal the figure in dark outline, appearing strong and climbing well.” One “makes his way among almost insuperable difficulties, finally crowned with a position of security and comfort.”
“A straight column with square capital and base” represents someone with “considerable personal influence” who is “plain and unaffected, but didactic and self-assertive.” Lacking flexibility, he or she could be vain or at least unbending. This could be good if he or she is “a person of good proportions, with fine dark eyes and arched eyebrows,” “an all-round person, accomplishing whatever he or she takes in hand; neat in attire, orderly in business, proud and a little selfish.” There can be efficient attention to business even on a Friday.
“A man swimming in the river against the current and making no progress” is “straining after that which Nature has not designed, with consequent failure.” Unpopular, one could move against the stream, hurting oneself alone. However, with discretion one could arrive at the opposite of that, “an Easter promenade” wherein individualistic self-expression is appreciated and supported by all around. This is a celebration filled with generous and effective mutual inspiration.
