|Karmically serious, sobering, challenging third| of this week is with us until Monday morning
Let’s distinguish between the “miasma” of probable planetary trends and the reality of G*d’s goodness. Without faith, we have no foundation in the moving planets except that we can see where they are going with practical certainty. Then we link those motions with what we have experienced in the past during those same motions. That is the essence of predictive astrology, a phenomenological science. But for a positive, helpful, uplifting perspective we need, in addition, religious or spiritual or some-kind-of faith in ourselves or the All or the Supreme.
That is a preface to a disturbing symbol: “A white oval figure on a very black background which contains no forms or shapes of any kind.” This is said to show misfortune through marriage or motherhood. One is likely to be “very negative, open to evil influences.” That would fit a |difficult third| day within the Mercury Retrograde season (until June 3). We need to manifest a positive attitude and reject what would drag us down. Then we could live up to the promise of “a cameo profile of a man in the outline of his country.” This is “impersonal self-dedication to broader community interests” and also “a highly personal dramatization of the self as a focus for group actuality.” Is your nation exploiting you, or are you exploiting your nation? Or are you living in harmony with each other as in the cameo?
“A man is standing with a tankard in his hand ready to drink. Two others are standing apart, talking together with averted faces.” There can be gossip, covert derision or even slander. It is usually not good to gossip about friends and never good to make fun of them. Or is there such a thing as gentle chiding? Sepharial warns against “falling into evil habits by low associations,” or perhaps “envy and intrigues.” Can we see ourselves as others see us? “A bunny” is being “metamorphosed into a fairy.” Maybe our animal naivete is making a transition toward something more ethereal or superhuman, and we can “mold and remold everyday reality.”
“A glass-bottomed boat in still water” gives a cool, calm, protected viewpoint from which to observe fellow beings or “sea creatures” as the case may be. Poised, we observe what is going on with people. We may sense advantages, or just inform ourselves through curiosity. If lucky we may possess, or enjoy, “a fertile garden under the full moon.” With Luna sextile Venus (though square Saturn) we may rove into an ultimacy of worldly goods and use them in a way pleasing to all.
