You may be weary of talk about Mercury Retrograde (through May 2) but I am trying to help. At worst, we are likely to give up, or feel incompetent, or blame ourselves for everything wrong, when really just taking our time to REcover our poise would be best. We feel like “a man of tottering and uncertain gait, carrying water which he spills on the ground.” Weak and disorderly, we go astray, or lose through indecision or faulty judgment. But really, what does it hurt to spill some water? We can REcover, even though it is natural at these times to question everything. A “bunny,” or our ordinary living, can be metamorphosed into “a fairy,” or something unusual we had not expected, granting us “poetry of soul” and creativity.
Do you ever watch comedians on Netflix, YouTube, or other streaming services? I rarely do, but two symbols suggest that. One of them “a tube, the interior luminous” (laptop, tablet or phone) and the other “a comedian entertaining a group.” Yet at best the “comedian” (maybe Joe Rogan or one of his guests) could illuminate something “metaphysical or transcendental” as in Rogan’s interviews with UFO experiencers Jacques Vallee, Bob Lazar, James Fox and Travis Walton. Serious stuff, though we might choose instead the comic mirror life holds up to itself through stand-up comics releasing us from inhibitions.
“A peacock parading on an ancient lawn” is aloof, yet exhibiting his or her personal excellencies in a delicate, restrained manner. “Look at me, but don’t bother me.” There is nothing wrong with such ornamentation within limits. Perhaps above the colorful display there shines “a harvest moon.” “Nature is saying to us that our prodigality is as rich as hers” and offering through her benediction a threshold of sumptuous fulfillment.
