It seems that rashness or hurry could cause trouble, as if one were “rushing along on horseback, sword in hand, to meet a company of armed men.” This could be a political dispute, or maybe just feeling rushed to get things done. Discretion should be added to courage for a safer mixture of temperament, and then there can be a rescue operation which succeeds. “There is a wreck on a rough sea. The life-boat is dispatched and all are finally rescued.” “Thou shalt save many, and thou shalt save thyself as an active philanthropist.”
There is another horse-image, “a man of powerful form riding upon a restive horse whose mouth is curbed.” One can maintain one’s dignity and position by means of natural bodily powers (the horse). One is independent but could be tyrannous, or meet up with someone who is so. The dominion one attains is large-hearted, demonstrating soul-force along with detective-style justice (they are not contradictory traits).
The “massive superstructure” you or someone else is building is quite amazing, a gigantic scheme or organization of things which makes for an important, responsible position in life. Perhaps atop it is The Great Stone Face, something or someone you have admired since childhood, into whose image you have grown by your aspiration. This could be a slow magic working itself out through your constancy of “alignment with eternal reality.”
