Moon in Cancer

Contrary symbols set up a dialectic, which in a Hegelian sense seems to be one way the fabric of human life is woven.  Some people may seem indigent, or "wayfaring and deceitful," yet it is probably not fair to judge them because one does not know their underlying problems.  "Crows are feeding in the bed of a dried-up river."  Can they help it? Should you give a dollar or more to a homeless person?  Jesus said "Give to those who ask," but Christians devise a lot of ways to evade that instruction.  Who are the "crows" in your life and how do you treat them; or is it good sometimes just to ignore them and get on with your own business?  The opposite end of the dialectic is "a trilithon consisting of two strong pillars of stone with a horizontal thwart; within the trilithon is a strong iron gate."  Here is a place the homeless may resort to, "a haven of refuge for the weak and helpless and a protection to all who stand in need of a friend.  Within the gate there is peace and security, rest and satisfaction."

While Mercury is exactly sextile Mars in Aquarius, "the water-carrier," we have "a hydrometer" or a capacity to measure and estimate "the order and intelligence to be found throughout the world of everyday realities."  Through honed perception and efficiency one can "shape events to one's own convenience."  One might even be preparing for something outstanding, as if "a man equipped for a rough journey, belted and armed."  There could be adventure, discovery and travel, whether actually or in some metaverse.  There could be inquisitiveness along "new roads of knowledge and research" traveled boldly.

Venus in Pisces begins, today, by ten-degree orb, a sextile with Uranus in Taurus (until April 24), offering some freedom of harmonious self-expression.  "A woman is reclining upon a couch, scantily attired."  Pardon Sepharial's muted Victorian sexism; he says we may be "given to the ease and luxury of life, the soft effeminate pleasures of the senses."  We "eat the lotus and make chains of flowers more difficult to break than bonds of steel."  But the chosen opiate fails ultimately, whereupon we could be content with mild sensuousness. In accord with the previous paragraph, Mercury's symbol, and that planet's sextiles with both Mars and Saturn, one could "make a discovery.  A new idea will dawn on the world through one's agency."
