It has been a hard time for almost everyone, and a very hard time for some, with the two anciently-termed "malefic" planets, Mars and Saturn, conjoined in a Saturn-and-Uranus-ruled sign, Aquarius. This is reflected in one of the day's symbols, "a battle-field where two contending armies are engaged in deadly conflict." Of course we know that has been happening in Ukraine, to everyone's horror. In our personal lives it could be that we face conflict of some kind on the psychological level and need to be careful. "A man turning his back on his passions and teaching from his experience" gives the flavor of what is possible, "a sensitiveness to the world and its exactions" resulting in a selfless attitude and serenity.
"An explosion" sounds ominous, but Charubel points out that "this is NOT FATE but a tendency" toward things falling out unexpectedly or disastrously. More happily, there could be "a place of amusement with music, dancing, and singing on the program. A very large ball-room." Memories of, or plans for, such events could be uplifting, or participation in them IRL (in real life) or virtually (Venus is in Pisces, sign of the feet and dancing plus accompanying music).
"A smelting furnace" is said to indicate soul force, and a large-hearted quality. Not intellectual detective work but sharp instinct protects us from any possible imposition or deception. "A very long ladder" allows inspirations of a lofty character, together with ambition, leading to "speculations on a grand scale." Scholarship tends to "the elevation and salvation of mankind."
