^Passing a Self-Test^
Moon in Aries—>Taurus
/moon goes void-of-course at 2:39p PT | 5:39p ET | 9:39p UT
until it enters Taurus at 5:20p PT | 8:20p ET | 12:20a(Sa) UT
New Moon of Taurus approaches, exact tomorrow (Saturday) at 1:29p PT | 4:29p ET | 8:29p UT (it will also be a solar eclipse in some places)
Those who believe in the power and fatality of eclipses might get exercised over the first symbol: “A figure veiled in black stands behind a king sitting upon a throne.” “Oh, the veiled figure is the eclipse, which will cause the king’s (yours and mine) career to collapse!” Maybe, but I do not see eclipses that way, not in decades of experience. They seem no different from ordinary New or Full Moons. However, it is wise to heed these words of warning against “kingly pride” whether the “king” be Musk, Putin or you. There is also the warning of “an earthquake” but of course this is not going to be literal for most of us. “Sudden and unexpected calamities will reduce his hopes to ruin” is the worst interpretation; a more likely one is “Let him trust in Heaven and invoke its aid in all humility” to be secure from any reversal.
As yesterday, we have “a serpent standing erect within a circle of fire” indicating “the rays of a higher truth and deeper understanding converging and dispersing again for the better instruction of the world and its manifest advantage.” One can “take life at the crisis and turn it back from the Gates of Death.” How? By manning “a lifeboat” crossing “a very rough sea” toward “a wreck.” “All are finally rescued.” One can “save many, and oneself.”
“An ox asleep in the sunshine, two birds perched on its back” is a warning against grossly succumbing to idleness and self-indulgence. While pleasant for a while, it could bring trouble. Are we always being tested? Not a congenial thought, but perhaps we are being self-tested. “An examination of initiates” is “life’s demand that a man continue at all times to prove himself in full accordance with the claims he has made for himself.” Self-approval means we have passed the test and are qualified for further life-adventure.
