}Learning Peacefully{

There is so much to study, a seemingly endless amount. Sometimes the furthest back in time is the most important, but not always, if a recent writing leans on past teaching in a comprehensive and powerful manner.

Being miserable and courting misery and wishing others were miserable are all mistakes to which we can be subject because of past suffering and our inability to rise above it like a butterfly getting out of its chrysalis. 

Cheerlessness and lack of hope lead to lack of energy. If the day seems uneventful, perhaps your deeper self, your soul or psychic being, is trying to manifest inchoately, requiring peace and rest in its chrysalis stage.

Complaints seem natural when there is unfairness, although sometimes we can assume unfairness when it really isn't there. If selfless, you might be indignant about something which seems unfair in a friend's life.

There is love of freedom, coupled with restraint. Why are we unable to bring cherished wishes into reality? could be a question. Adapting ourselves to our environment may be necessary, rather than forcing it to adapt to us, even if we hope that will happen in time. Waiting in hope is better than either rage or despair.

People sometimes seem like a menagerie, perhaps differently manifested according to one's choice of traditional European or Chinese astrology! Using both, the sun is now in the sign of the Goat Twins. We may be amazed at the wide variety of human beings and wonder at their animal qualities.

Weakness in the day could stem from vacillation, a failure to make choices, being driven from one opinion to another by circumstances. Wandering from place to place or position to position is good only as a beginning; experience and self-awareness lead to something more definite.

People try to be better than others, or on a higher rung of some ladder. More happily, one could recognize others' places on the ladder and then relate to all with a forward point of view hoping for progress in every case. 

Organizing intellectual faculties is something each has to do for himself or herself. It is more systematic in some than in others. We want to control nature, technology and ourselves. Teaching and learning how to do that go on in many contexts.
