We should not forget that Mercury is retrograde until Thursday-Friday of next week (June 11-12). On Thursday (yesterday) this meant for me:
Confusion about where to go and what to do, resulting in dithering over three different choices, never able to decide, so I took a fourth choice of going for a walk and returning home.
If things like that are happening with you, don't be surprised. You are not "losing it." We may seem deeply confused, but could be getting our bearings in "some other world" in our inner consciousness. That takes a while.On Thursday when I felt utterly at a loss I sat on a stone on the corner of 13th Street and Madison. 13 is the Death card in the Tarot and in this case it was the "death" of outward planning, which had failed me. It was slow rebirth out of nothingness. The trees, the moss-covered stone, and the people wandering by (who looked as lost as I felt) gave me an odd feeling that I was recovering without knowing into what I was recovering. I went home and relaxed and took a nap. We may need more sleep at these times.
It took all the faith I could summon to sit down tonight and write this report past midnight. Here we go. We have to try.
Friday has elements of interests shared with special people who have special interests, to talk in circles. That is, you want to be part of an elite group who understand certain things you understand, cooperating with fellow enthusiasts. Yet this seems impossible! because everyone is in a chaotic mood or in chaotic thinking. Maybe nobody even seems to know what language the other is speaking, yet you keep looking for someone who can speak yours. There are novelties and variations, and perhaps momentary excitement. A young companion is in his own world yet you participate indirectly. Your view of things dissolves and reconstitutes itself and dissolves again. No you are not going insane.
As I write the computer is doing very strange things, moving from program to program, my cursor was just frozen for three minutes in one spot. Welcome to the upside down wonderland world of Mercury Retrograde. Like me, you will have to recover and keep going. Or take a break a while and find out what lies beyond the mind (Mercury).
Hard work which seems to produce nothing for you may seem your lot. Symbol: a man pounding rocks with a hammer trying to break them. But Mars is sextile Jupiter exactly, so you can in fact get some things done. Let your inner wisdom show you which ones they are. Symbol: A sextant and compass. You can get your bearings but may have to do it over and over again. Symbol: A lot of animals milling around in a yard. You can be an observer and feel that that is enough, for a while. But someone kindly, perhaps older or mature, may need your assistance. Being loyal is a virtue.
Some are so sure they are right that they may be pompous. They need applause more than they realize. Self-reliant, fearless, and ambitious, they may feel lost but refuse to admit that. Some are forced to retire or change jobs during a time like this. Yet while the moon is void-of-course and Mercury Retrograde, it is not wise to choose such a course, only if it is forced upon one. You can stick with your program yet find that you do it in an out-of-pattern way, taking unusual breaks or juggling your schedule. You are part of a community, or more than one, and it's wise not to forget that. Adapting to its needs can give you a footing when you feel lost. We reflect one another; others reflect you and therefore need you, and you need them for reflected light sometimes.
