A large stone would seem immovable,
Suspended from a crane, the handle of which
Two men are turning. Life might seem mechanical
At times, or happily dynamic. A well-conditioned heifer
Stands to the plough, docile and tractable, pleased
To do patient work. But a Bolshevik propagandist
Thinks the poor beast is being exploited. His zeal
Might better be leavening real social problems,
Making an impact on history. As for the woman
Living in a small cottage at the base of a very
High mountain, overhung by jutting rocks--
She has faith that the Most High shall protect her.
Implicit goodness invokes goodness around her.
