What is your favorite Mercury Retrograde (April 21-May 15) crisis? The border crisis, thousands of illegal immigrants? The trial of Donald Trump on questionable charges from 25 years ago? The question of who attacked the Kremlin, and who blew up the Nordstream pipeline? All of these are involved in controversy. There are rapid shifts of allegiance in connection with the presidential candidates, RFK surging, Trump surging or collapsing, DeSantis floundering, Biden collapsing or recovering, and on and on. On Twitter I find that people are misquoting other people, making them say the opposite of what they meant to say. Is the "debt ceiling crisis" resolvable, with Republicans against Republicans and Democrats against Democrats amid a sea of dollar signs? Janet Yellen has called major banks warning of possible government default.
Did you notice how spot-on my sonnet for Tuesday was? The raven on the waterpot trying to slander and insult people is either Jean Carroll or Trump, depending on your choice, and Trump's lawyer is appealing so it may not be over yet.

At all, man and beast; envious of all, designing and
Crafty. He would like to injure and hurt, wanting
Revenge without legitimate cause (so I said). Is the raven Carroll or Trump or both?
And,
Others feel grief over
Love lost or love spurned, like a woman in
Disordered clothes, hair unkempt, with faded lilies
And roses. Fateful inclinations bring spoliation.
You've got to admit that I (as the composite Cosmic Piper including 19th century clairvoyants) nailed the screaming headlines about Trump's conviction, and when I wrote the sonnet I didn't know the case was up for decision.
Okay, a sonnet for Wednesday:
Is the crow really planning mischief, or just
Envious and raucous, hurting mainly himself?
He caws contemptuously from his perch on a
Water-pot. Maybe he's expressing, unbeknownst to
Himself, all the sadness and suffering of the world
As it seems to hang suspended bleeding in some
Torture-cavern. Where is a source of relief
And protection? Where is the man of destiny
Whose leadership manifests vital genius? Tucker,
Marianne, RFK, someone else? Over whose right
Shoulder shall a dark shadow-mantle be thrown
Releasing potentials into the social complex?
Meanwhile there is sensuality, a feast, reckless
Extravagance, richness of heart, camaraderie.
