\Escape from Grief/
I don't like the mostly negative symbols for today but shall try to give them an uplifting slant.
At all, man and beast; envious of all, designing and
Crafty. He would like to injure and hurt, wanting
Revenge without legitimate cause. Some feel tormented
In other ways, as if life were a prison-camp. Cruelty is
A deformation of human decency, a moral malaise
From which all need to escape. Let's pray for Julian Assange
And all unjustly imprisoned. Others feel grief over
Love lost or love spurned, like a woman in
Disordered clothes, hair unkempt, with faded lilies
And roses. Fateful inclinations bring spoliation.
Yet a woman and two men stand on sunlit land
Facing south, estranged and uncertain
Before an inception of lasting allegiance.
