Faceted. Roaming from the ship, a sailor draws
An elliptical figure in the sand. Standing upright
Within it, he attracts beauty, thrilling to nature and
The native women. One of them leads a child by the hand
While gathering flowers. Agreeable and loving, she
Brings domestic peace and concord to the assembly of
The shipwrecked. Common things and simple actions
Rejuvenate those whose plight is hiatus plus fresh start.
