Fascists and Bolsheviks, a new world is coming
Through revolution-- leavening determination.
Or are all these opponents climbing stairways
To nowhere? Lofty aspirations lead up a ladder
To a landing from which the exit is a fall or else
Steps backward. Abilities are used for amusement.
Or one could turn the other way and enjoy a beautiful
Scene of the country conspiring to enchant the eye
And hold spirit in moods of silent adoration.
The beauties of Nature support sustained human
Sympathies. By evening a large star in the west
Casts brilliant rays upon one spot. Politics
And nature form one genius, a leader.
