\Pageant/A man stands on a lonely plain, weeping.
He's given up to despondency, with insufficient
Moral courage. Life is sometimes a struggle,
As knows a woman of good proportions,
Fine dark eyes, arched eyebrows. Whatever she
Takes in hand shall be accomplished. She's neat,
Methodical, orderly in business; a little selfish.
If looking up she'd see an aureole of clouds,
In its midst a triangle of flame, within that an eye
Of spiritual faculty. An aspiring noble mind
Is hopeful, intuitive more than logical, ardent with
Divine fire of worthy ambition. Below, reflecting its
Eminence, takes place a pageant of human pride
In naïve demonstration of irresistible ideals.
