Week of Saturday 16 through Friday 22 May 2015

This week: There may be discoveries. You might feel "Oh no, I want things to continue as they are." But I don't mean disrupting discoveries, rather interesting and helpful ones. You may hide them from people, or know that people aren't ready to hear about them. Yet they could be momentous, and help you in founding (or putting a foundation in for) something big. You are equipped with what you need on many levels. 

The hard work of structuring something can be mental, physical or both. You can do it at home or at headquarters, while thinking of and in communication with those at a distance. The newness of it is hard at first, yet a certain luxury surrounding it makes it enjoyable to work on. To bring out your strength, there are heavy responsibilities, but the harmony you evoke while fulfilling them is a marvel.

Mercury turns retrograde Monday (until June 11). Your abilities are not diminished, but you may turn them to relatively pointless interests or pseudo-projects which end nowhere and merely amuse you for a while (Mercury square Neptune and quincunx Pluto). Artistry, however, could flourish. One cannot eat a musical performance, or get shelter and warmth from a novel, yet they have their value in expanding or liberating consciousness. Mercury's sextile with Jupiter shows that it is possible to gain, however, even materially, if one is careful. 

The secure foundation of your life varies and shifts with movement, travel, connections. Yet it remains basically auspicious. The homes of friends, or friends visiting you, are fortunate. Some of them may seem conventional in tastes, even ordinary or boring even if attractive, yet you have something to learn from them and they from you. There is magic in public display of pageantry, no matter how unplanned or informal.

You might be close to someone who has a lawyer-like or detective-like mentality, eager to see the errors or crimes people commit and expose them. That can include the errors and crimes of prosecutors who prosecute the innocent and get them imprisoned (a great many, as demonstrated by the success of The Innocence Project). This someone, perhaps a woman, appreciates the good people but wants to protect them from the malignant ones. She (or he) can win her cases in surprising ways. 

The practicality of the week is solid, although a little backward-looking of necessity (Mercury retrograde). You may need to come to terms with the person or the counsel of someone taciturn and serious who sees life as a chess game or a project to be worked out with clear thinking and careful design. He or she also has an appreciation of fine arts and may be a craftsman or designer, or sketch out plans in an intriguing manner. You may be slow in seeing the value of what she or he is doing, but then benefit a great deal.

Attention to detail is helpful in many ways. It can prevent the snags which can occur when Mercury is going backward (to our geocentric vision). You feel pride in yourself, and that is not wrong if you realize you owe everything to the Supreme. Spending some time in public parks or  recreational areas could be helpful, loosening worries and helping you regenerate yourself. The essence of yourself, however, remains unseen and unknown to the public. Your inner world is your own. You know this and do not care if others don't understand. So you can be detached in each encounter, not worrying if you remain mysterious or under-appreciated. Your grandeur is known Above if not below.
