There could be a mournful side to this New Year's Eve. You ponder those who are missing from your life. Such melancholy might color even your determined efforts to improve things on a practical level. It is sad that tragedies are so often the proximate cause of mass movements toward the better. You and your neighbors may be ready to hear the voice of someone with a vision which could lead us closer to what we deeply desire in 2011.
