~Surprising Paths to Friendly Satisfaction~

The moon finally leaves the Via Combusta where it has been for more than two days, in late afternoon. I could give the exact time but no one would pay much attention. (More like late evening if you live in Europe.)

So for most of the day don't be surprised if people including yourself don't seem to know what they are doing. Yet they are striving to be highly self-controlled. By evening when the moon gets closer to Venus and sextile Mars, romantic potentials will be coming out.

We approach the end of the year and people are feeling that. Someone who thinks and writes, even if superficially, will be on your mind and his ideas influence your view of the year past and year ahead. Intelligent, well-constructed speculations or mental schemes are beautiful in their own right. Sometimes it feels that you are cutting your way through icy obstacles to get to the point of realizing what you need to realize. Mercury turns direct, finally, at 11:22p(W) PT | 2:22a ET | 7:22a UT. This does not mean things are suddenly totally easy. It should mean that you start to have a clearer view of what is important and how to get to it. The Dark Hermetic Epoch continues until January 18. In theory we may be over the hardest part of it, at least by Thursday evening, but in practice this is not true. There will be ups and downs until the middle of January.

You may enjoy some kind of work with those who need help, such as the elderly, disabled, or abandoned children. "Enjoy" because although done from a sense of duty it has strong rewards. In high flights of thought or reverie you penetrate into occult or philosophic mysteries. This is specially possible during any Dark Hermetic Epoch and especially today while Mercury is virtually motionless. A still mind allows higher realizations to open it and enter. Then, by nurturing those who need it you link yourself with the Supreme Nurturer who nurtures you.

When you worry about money or career you could commit acts of folly, without realizing it, either by attacking those who seem to block your way or running off in hapless escape. It would be better to make your peace with everything. Impatience does not profit during a Dark Epoch. Relaxed contemplation of the past and potential future is far better.

There is a definite gambling urge. This could be harmless if a mere pastime. It could be dangerous if you get mixed up with those who are looking for a fight. Propositions made to you could be fishy. You can supervise the situation if things get peculiar. If done in a way which makes people feel you know what you are doing, they will come around.

The gambling trend could be disastrous if it goes too far. This need not mean literal casino gambling but anything where the rewards are unlikely or preposterous and you are attempting what seems impossible. The pleasure derived from sowing wild oats can be intense, but then the price must be paid.

More happily, you are making a transition from the boring to the thrilling in a sane and satisfying way. Only you know exactly what that means. The animal in you and the fairy, beast and daimon, brute and angel co-exist and cooperate in ways no one can predict. From self-indulgence arises purification when the soul become conscious, overseeing amazing events.
