*Fortitude*

Those of you reading this in the colored versions will see red because the moon is in Aries today and tomorrow. Those two days also happen to be the |difficult third of this week, the more emotionally stressful part of it| (not because of Aries but other factors).

There is pride, and with it anger, which comes from frustration. You would like to be the supreme commander but find that things change too quickly to keep up with them. So you survey them and see into their future as acutely as possible. You see others failing or falling and hope you will not be one of them. You need not be, if you stay alert and trust in your destiny.

You create, using mental powers, though your creations be invisible to the multitude. You mobilize energies to catch up with reality. The inevitable is what has already happened. The doable is what is to be. Although you enjoy being alone, you want somehow to be hospitable to those who are interesting to you.

The results of your work are an assumption, inadequate results a harassment. This makes you uneasy. You want to eliminate whatever in your character or habits has led to stalemate. Self-reformation is the hardest of all, yet the most successful at last. When attuned to the Highest, you see into the errors of enemies and can eliminate those errors (better) or the enemies (worse). By "eliminate" I do not mean "kill," of course, but remove from interference in your purposes. This is done more often with words or strategies than weapons.

Not only Mercury's backward motion but other factors make for foggy thinking--or else highly perceptive thinking when the fog alerts you to hidden factors you would not have noticed otherwise. This is investigation. You can look, search, and discover. But, within yourself, watch out for jealousy, resentment, and restricted affections because of hurt you think someone has inflicted on you. With calmer vision you might see that this was no one's fault, just the roll of the dice, or even a message from on high to help you learn something.

Mars tightly conjoined with Mercury and Pluto, all of the squared by the moon today, suggest possible cruelty to watch out for, whether in someone else or yourself. That conjunction is reminiscent of the Plutocrats Bernard Madoff and Sonja Kohn, both in serious trouble now, with one son of Madoff having committed suicide on December 11 two years to the day from his father's arrest. Those who care only for themselves can be dangerous, obviously. We should not be bound to their mystery or mystique, but investigate what is going on and protect ourselves from it. Then we will appreciate all the more those who are kind, devoted, almost saintly, some of whom you may be aware of if you look beyond the trembling surface of unease.

Despite the ominous tone of the preceding, there can be rewards, at least for those who are benefactors rather than predators and care to pursue a job or career which is of value to others. The practical side of this is evident when you get going with it. You do not have to be an interfering do-gooder to help some who feel orphaned or abandoned. That may be the furthest from your mind, yet your example or fortitude may be helping them stand up to destiny.
