"Asleep in the heat of the day, implements beside him, he is indolent and unsuccessful." There is some brightness and happiness, but it could become misfortune if the "implements" are not used.
"A pennant or streamer is used by mariners to indicate the course of the wind." This could be weakness because one is vacillating, driven about from one opinion to another. Wandering, alternating from hope to depression, one needs firmness and independence to overcome weakness.
"A wild boar" can be attacked but not conquered. He avoids tricky policies, with a life and sphere of his own and pleasures of his own.
Maybe all could come together in "a large well-kept public park." Society maintains integrity through community divisions of labor which benefit all. One can arrive at self-discovery and self-realization through shared facilities for recreation, rest and enjoyment.
