Challenge: Venus has entered Taurus, her own sign, no longer dethroned in Aries, so we might hope for more harmony in our lives. However the sun and Mercury in Aries are squaring Pluto in Capricorn and that might account for 'several young men in dispute in a market place, asserting their respective opinions by the free use of cudgels.' Some might be stubborn, litigious, and quarrelsome--at worst, revengeful. It would be wise to keep our differences in the realm of 'contest' rather than dispute, but of course the judge of the winners of such 'contests' is the Supreme Lord, not a human magistrate. Some individuals might, after attaining dignity and influence, becoming 'richly attired,' 'lose their foothold and fall to the ground.' There could be 'the breaking up of families and the loss of their traditions' in decadence. One can always read about such individuals in the gossip tabloids, but it is harder to see the syndrome in oneself or close contacts.
Process: 'An electrical storm' could be 'the catharsis of nature' stimulating us to 'clear the way for more genuine progress.' We have felt strained in some areas but do not have to lose our aplomb when the 'universal forces' seem temporarily terrifying. A transformation is taking place. Afterward, there is 'winter frost in the woods' or a cancellation of normal conveniences for a time. 'Normal life is brought to a point of sharp suspension so that a larger magic may be manifest.' If we get into the spirit of this we see the splendor of what is coming to pass. Mars trine Jupiter gives revitalized optimism over and over.
Blessing: As Mercury approaches the sun from our geocentric view, we are close to the center of the Bright Hermetic Epoch extending from March 13 through May 14. This week and next could be perfect times to formulate your plans in whatever way makes sense to you, that is, to project your likely activities for the next couple of months or so. 'Lost opportunity regained in the imagination' is a hopeful degree because it allows for cogent reformulation of things which didn't go so well in the past. This could involve considerable communication among friends. Maybe with Venus now in her own sign we will have more comfort in our living situation. Charubel points to 'a spacious room filled with expensive furniture and several mirrors.' Some will seek 'a conventional and fashionable life.' They, or we, possess 'artistic accomplishments and love for the fine arts.'
