"A broken pitcher lying on the ground with spilled fruit around it" may depict what we feel at certain moments. Mercury is slowing down, going retrograde on the 17th-18th, and we feel that already (Dark or Slow Hermetic Epoch) as incompetence, while today Luna opposes Mercury. There is uncertainty or confusion as to how to handle professional matters and studies. But one is not impotent if one remains practical, with common sense dominating any tendency to go berserk in pointless directions. Sincere affections are a support even if they seem poorly reciprocated while Venus remains squared to Mars. Sometimes lust tries to take the place of love.
If in less populated areas, such as the country, one has the benefit of natural surroundings free from artificial polish. One may, in urban or rural areas, feel as if one is in "an Easter promenade" at times, wanting to celebrate something personally through self-dramatization. This might be vanity, but is at least free individualistic self-expression. Life is colorful when all feel inspired by one another.
At deeper consciousness-levels we have "the human soul receptive to growth and understanding." Life is real and rewarding because avid and kaleidoscopic. More profound yet, with some conscious development of spirituality, is "a square containing twelve small squares, resembling the breast-plate of the Jewish high priest." Some magical powers are reserved for the reverential and devoted. Neither is astrology (incorporating "twelve squares" within the earth's orbit) for the superficial.
