The symbols are arranged in a fascinating hierarchy from most gross to most subtle. The tyrant (first) and the "battered hulk" (second) are positive and negative evil, discomfort or error, one too aggressive and one too passive. The sharp observer or detective perceives the problems of both accurately. Then at his best he can become the venerable and kindly minister in a position of trust and dignity.

Beyond him in the scale is one who is outwardly a babe but inwardly a spiritual giant. At his best he can be a healer of both physical and moral dis-ease, whether he be Hindu or otherwise. Finally we rise to a spiritual realm symbolized by the fairies in the moonlight, ascended beyond prior concerns into blessed liberation.
We need this kind of transition to get above the usual worries accentuated during the |challenging or more painful third| of this week on its most intense day.

The symbols and their interpretation are intended to apply basically during the hours from dawn to midnight. Often a planet will move from one degree to another during the day, so I use a time near mid-afternoon for all of them, so that they shall be exactly right during most, often all, of the daylight hours. The period from midnight to dawn could partake of the nature of either day or both.
