^Toward Soulful Choices^

Moon in Sagittarius

I don't like to call "good" and "bad" days, because things are more complex than that, but: For a good time with a friend or friends or strangers, a fun or party atmosphere, I would recommend today and tonight rather than Friday through Sunday when we will have the |difficult third| of the week. (True, we will also have Venus trining Mars, which of course is good for social connections, but the lunar situation will interfere with or mute that, most likely, and it is also present on Thursday.)

It does not seem easy to be a human being. "Man" is related to "manas" the Sanskrit for mind, and man is the manomaya purusha, the mental being. Ruled, to a large degree, by Mercury, one might say. And that may be why it is so hard to get through the Mercury retrograde periods with composure.  There was the sad shooting at YouTube headquarters followed by the suicide of someone who, had she been able to control or hold in her resentment for another two or three weeks, would still be with us. That is of course just one example. Things seem more complicated and impossible then they really are, so frustration mounts to despair and despair possibly to suicidal thoughts. But today, Thursday, looks like we have some relief from that so let us make the most of it. Let's remember that things will be much better from April 15th through May 2, that is, they will be slowly brightening until we reach the Bright Hermetic Epoch on May 3.

(If you review the symbols for Tuesday when the YouTube shooting took place you will see a definite correlation, especially the first three symbols which I mentioned as "forbidding.")

A woman of Samaria.  [She who, having had five husbands, now living with one not her husband, had a conversation with Jesus at Jacob's well and decided that he was a prophet.]  Awakening.   s

A horrid sight! A man being grievously tortured, with blood flowing.   c

The moon in her first quarter.  Fond of change; a speculator. Too sanguine in expectation, but mostly fortunate.  c

A large group of pheasants.  Illimitability.   s

A man inspecting horses.   Fond of horses and a good judge of them. Fortunate as a horse dealer.  [in this day this is more likely to be "automobiles" rather than horses, of course. People may be pondering a new car as a possibility. Or, if one happens to be a talent agent or coach, one might be considering new clients or team players; and so on.]   c

A man with a sheaf of corn under one arm, and a sickle under the other.   Hardworking, perhaps in husbandry.  Will prosper by labor.   c

A youth, book in hand, wanders apparently through a glade overhung with the branches of surrounding trees. The sunlight is slanting through the trees, and falling upon the figure of the student.  Fond of nature; loving the peaceful contemplation of natural beauty. Devoted to higher interests of the soul. Reclusive.  Passive Beauty.  b

I have nothing to say about torture except that there is nothing worse than it and any deliberate cruelty.  I pray every day that it may be eliminated utterly from the mind and heart of humanity, and kindness toward all (including animals) take its place.

The woman of Samaria is one of my favorite Bible characters. Many would consider her life immoral, yet she, and not some of the "upright" self-righteous people, recognized Jesus's divinity.

We inspect "horses" or various options, and choose to our benefit. This seems possible given some good aspects, including the sun's biquintile with Jupiter. This might be a better "opportunity day" than Friday through Sunday, in some respects anyway.
The husbandman or farmer and the passively beautiful student are both enamored of Nature, though one works hard in it, and prospers, while the other contemplates it soulfully. A combination of the two approaches might be wonderful.

b: Signor Borelli, 19th century clairvoyant; interpreted by Sepharial who was Walter Gorn Old
c: Charubel, 19th century clairvoyant who was John Thomas
s: Sabian symbols which came through psychic Elsie Wheeler, interpreted by Marc Edmund Jones

The symbols and their interpretation are intended to apply basically during the hours from dawn to midnight. Often a planet will move from one degree to another during the day, so I use a time near mid-afternoon for all of them, so that they shall be exactly right during most, often all, of the daylight hours. The period from midnight to dawn could partake of the nature of either day or both.
