Little Things . . . I hear that there is a new movie coming out about a Roman Catholic exorcist. A documentary, I believe. I sometimes feel that I am a "demonologist" of astrology, because I try to alert you so much about the "difficult" aspects and periods. But that is not because of any morose streak in my nature--I tend to be cheerful--but because I have found through bitter experience over the years that these periods are the ones which throw a block against my cheerfulness, which blocks I need to overcome consciously if I am to remain cheerful! So I am trying to help by pointing these periods out. Now, I have gone on a great deal about the Dark Hermetic Epoch extending until May 3 (a Thursday, about twelve days from now) and you could review some of that in what was said here on Wednesday this week (the first five paragraphs of that report). Here is a little extra:
Little Things. It is often the little things in these periods (which are just extensions of the Mercury Retrograde periods) which count. One feels up and ready for the day, and then little things like misplacing one's phone and having to look for it, or breaking a shoelace (pretty rare), or having forgotten to buy the right breakfast food or coffee, or threatening weather, or walking out the door and having to return because you forgot something . . . Little Things. We have had so much of that. Then, the backtracking. Nikki Haley was told one thing by the President about Russian sanctions, and announced that to the U. N. Then he changed his mind, and rather than admitting that, he said that Haley had "been confused." Quite rightly and bravely, she countered that she was "not confused." Good for her! But this is typical MR or DHE stuff. The bridge that fell in Florida during the MR period, killing six . . . A worker on the bridge, which had just been made ready a day or two before the accident, had sent an email to an official warning of a potential problem in the bridge's construction. The official did not get that email, or see it, until after the disastrous accident. Typical of Mercury Retrograde and equally of DHE. Then just a day or two ago that sad and strange plane accident in which one person was sucked out of the plane, pulled back, and died. . . Now there are investigations as to why the plane was allowed to be flown that day, and on and on. The "little things" conquer the big ones, sometimes.
Then there is "dalliance." (Mercury is slow.) A good word. One dallies. Is this good or bad? It was bad when that official did not read his email promptly to get the warning about the bridge. It might be good if you are having a health problem and need a break from work. That day or more of "dallying" at home might be just what your body and mind need. So there are no absolute laws about what is best except, "Expect things to be out of pattern, and adjust accordingly, sometimes taking much more time than you had hoped to do things." By the way, that "slow down" advice might have saved those six lives lost when the bridge collapsed, because the bridge was approved and made accessible just a day or so before the accident. When anything might be dangerous, extra care and double-checking are needed in a DHE.
I keep spinning these thoughts out because they are what I have found to help me.
Friday:
A coal pit, the machinery at a standstill, the whole of the plant in a dilapidated condition. Mining operations. Possible accidents. Perhaps bankruptcy for the owner. c

A black, diamond-shaped figure. Strong character; morose; possessing magical powers. Strong will-power, very reserved, inclined to be cruel. c
A woman of pleasant face, neatly attired, stands holding a sword, whose point is earthward. Her head is kissed by the meridian Sun, her face is towards the north. Disputative mind, with many enemies, needing to exercise herself in self-defense. Strife, but native force and diplomacy will eventually prevail. Self-Preservation. b
A fair woman, leading a child by the hand, and gathering flowers by the way. Loving and agreeable. Finds happiness in executing common duties. Lover of domestic peace and tolerance. Concord. b
A child of about five with a huge shopping bag. Expectation. s
A Spaniard serenading his senorita. Constancy. s
Pardon me for saying so, but this is Hitler's birthday, and several violent incidents in the U. S. have been perpetrated on this day. All that seems to accord with the "black diamond" degree, which always happens on this day, "magical powers . . . inclined to be cruel." However, the woman of peace with the sword also happens on this day always and that is what Hitler and these other creepoid monsters might have manifested if they had been more conscious and loving beings. She has the sword, and is engaged in self-preservation, but knows she is in the right and so is kissed by the sun.
The childlike symbols and the lovers' serenade are welcome on a |karmically difficult day| to ease tension. Perhaps someone appreciates you more than you realize; more than she or he is able to articulate when feeling depressed by "little things."
