~Away from Danger Toward Kindly Contentment~
A man of benevolent countenance stands near to a cottage chopping wood. Around him are orchards well filled with fruit. Near to him is a sheep grazing. Contented, happy disposition; a friend of Nature and beloved of her. His ambitions are fulfilled with the day. Heart-Wealth. b
The symbols and their interpretation are intended to apply basically during the hours from dawn to midnight. Often a planet will move from one degree to another during the day, so I use a time near mid-afternoon for all of them, so that they shall be exactly right during most, often all, of the daylight hours. The period from midnight to dawn could partake of the nature of either day or both.
Moon in Scorpio
/moon goes void-of-course at 9:07a PT | 12:07p ET | 4:07p UT
until it enters Sagittarius at 11:56p PT | 2:56a (W) ET | 6:56a(W) UT
A man struggling in the water with a broken footbridge above his head. Prone to mistakes of judgment. Misplaces confidences. Exercise caution in dealings and associations. Treachery. b
A black, or very dark, curtain, like a pall, which seems to defy my vision. Perhaps an untimely or premature death in some terrible way. c
A widow at an open grave. Reorientation. s
A large encampment consisting of women, little children, old people and invalids; a man at the gate keeping guard. A noble person, a true knight; defender of the defenseless, benefactor of the poor and indigent. c
[the lines between these symbols are supposed to be one line each but Google and Blogspot keep changing them, expanding them into two or three lines, and when I try to correct them, no dice. It just gets worse. Mercury retrograde! And as I was typing these very sentences, there was a false fire alarm in my building so I had to get up and go downstairs with earplugs to mute the fierce alarm. Mercury retrograde, again and again . . . ]
An albatross feeding from the hand. Nurture. s

A bunny metamorphosed into a fairy. Transition. s
Again we have some forbidding symbols at the beginning, followed by some promising ones. Perhaps the key is in the Reorientation of the widow at the grave. We may think of those who have passed beyond, or contemplate the deeper meaning of the soul beyond death and birth. That need not be horribly gloomy. However, since we are in a Mercury Retrograde period and the moon is in Scorpio while there remains a harsh quadruple square between the sun and Mercury on one side and Mars and Saturn on the other, it would be well to be cautious in accord with the first two rather frightful symbols. We do not have to invite trouble by putting ourselves in dangerous situations.
Then, we can think of others more than ourselves (the "true knight" and the feeder of the albatross) and by having good thoughts toward them or aiding them attain a transition into a happier day, the man contented with his cottage and his orchard.
