Moon in Aries-->Taurus

Reading some of the musings of Ross Douthat and David Frum in the New York Times, about Trump and Lincoln and FDR, among others, reminds me how Time is the subject of astrology, how it is the Science of Time per se, that is, Time as related to human consciousness and living. That is a definition you can count on.

Nothing else allows one to see the sweep of history and of individual lives in such a comprehensive, amazing way. Whether I will ever get books written expounding a little bit of that is a question, but I am making fumbling attempts to try. Meanwhile I feel it important to keep up with these daily reports because Time is daily! daily! daily! as well as weekly, monthly, annually, centenially. So we carry on. Each day is a mystery, and these seven symbols, in an exact formula I have labored to discover and verify, are about the most telling single way of penetrating some of the mystery that I know of. Wednesday:

A man with a bow and arrow in the act of taking aim at some object in the distance.  Good marksman, fond of the chase yet noble and humane; generally prosperous.   c

A flag turned into an eagle.  Dramatization.   s

A woman nude, looking at her reflection in a pool of water.  Dalliance, self-love. Temptations, entanglements. Artistic tastes.  Egotism.    b

An Indian squaw pleading to the chief for the lives of her children.  Effectiveness .   s

A cherry tree in full blossom.  Precocious; promise of genius. May fade early.   c

A soldier derelict in duty.  Deviation.   s

A huge rock rent by a flash of lightning.  Forceful and executive nature, driving through obstacles.  Might convince skeptics by bringing light into dark places.  Conversion.   b

Because the keyword for Capricorn is Discrimination (in Sabian astrology), Mercury's presence there while moving fast forward gives us a definite ability to "order or stabilize current affairs" as we see fit. The moon in Taurus, sign of Virility, grants "gratifying new power in self-advancement" (Marc Edmund Jones). We may know pretty clearly how to take care of practical matters without energy-sapping doubt.

That might bring the first, second, and seventh symbols above into prominence. I have said that it might be helpful to take two or three symbols as your own for the day, and work with them; but yesterday it seemed to me that even that was a little diffuse, so I chose just one of yesterday's symbols to focus on. It seemed to bring my day into focus. Or you might choose (a) your favorite, and (b) your least favorite, and see also what the latter has to teach you or warn you about.

The Indian woman pleading for her children continues to bring up the Dreamers (DACA). Congress so far has fumbled that issue pretty klutzily. It seems to be "a soldier derelict in duty" in its equally klutzy fumbling of the debt limit, still to be finally worked out. The "flag turned into an eagle" may be the nation itself, shouting "Wake up, guys!" Also, there is much nationalism around the world, which may be evident today.

The woman in love with her image plus the gorgeous but frail and fleeting cherry tree's blossoms suggest the sadness of beauty which is temporary.  While it is there we ought to make the most of it and appreciate it deeply, thereby immortalizing it.

I leave further commentary to you.
