Something in these symbols hints at a group of Good Old Boys, some bragging of past sexual exploits, others like detectives sensing hidden stories beneath the proffered ones. Who is really the macho male here?
Or, in accord with current heightened sensibilities, this could be the story of someone using the "rapier" disgracefully and losing his liberty (becoming the imprisoned lion) through prosecution, as the Michigan doctor in the headlines.
The people on upwardly graduated stairs remind us that we need to approach our higher nature rather than descend to indiscretion. The "serpent" detective will find us out. It is interesting that that "S" serpent appears at the beginning of Sagittarius and end of Scorpio (Mars' current position), both signs spelt in English with a capital S.
The crown and sceptre giving us secret powers to play as we wish among children, or among those letting a childlike side come out, has obvious temptations associated with it, and the final symbol warns of what could happen if we went wrong. It could mean either self-restraint or unwelcome restraint by someone else.
So let's find the happy side of all this: Something like releasing and enjoying our prerogatives and playing with them while being careful not to offend others' sensibilities.
