A man in full armour, with helmet on head and spear in hand. Fond of military pursuits. A good soldier, of good proportions. c
A popularity that proves ephemeral. Approbation. s
An archer drawing a long bow. A faculty for teaching or prophecy. Handicrafts. Travel. What is remote is more attractive than what is near. Apperception. b
The Halloween jester. Spontaneousness. s
Two bulls fighting. Disagreeable, unsocial; a fault-finder. Arguing, losing temper. Hypercritical. c
A soldier derelict in duty. Deviation. s
A hand and a head separated from a body. Lacking in co-ordination of thought and action. Possibly separated from kindred. Danger of useless projects and badly regulated life. Disjection. b
The symbols are rather dire. The opposition of the moon with Jupiter in fixed signs suggests stubbornness, as in the derelict soldier and the hypercritical bullheaded ones losing their temper. We could feel popular, and so sure of ourselves that we push our advantage too far and then seem to "lose it" in badly stated arguments or opinions which take our popularity from us. It might be good to calm down and attend to the duties which the soldier is deviating from without good cause. He might better be the soldier "of good proportions" in the first symbol who enjoys his military life. For most of us, the "military" means simply our appointed work in life, our jobs.
Another avenue would be to turn anger and irritation into humor, as the Halloween jester. Spontaneous joking might win our way for a while as long as we don't push it too far!
You "pull your hands and head back into your body" by "drawing the long bow" like the archer, that is, apperceiving (unusual word) things distant and things in the future, and preparing for them prophetically at least in consciousness.
We have our work cut out for us. I would probably choose the third symbol as the one to live for the day, counteracting troubles warned of in most of the others. Also the first, taking the "armor" to be merely the tools of one's trade or occupation.
