In addition to the difficult aspects which have gotten our attention because of multiple accidents, fires, and violence, there has been and continues a grand trine, a relatively rare phenomenon, between Saturn, Neptune, and Jupiter, slow-moving planets. This is certainly a positive influence, and yet because in water signs and involving Saturn, it is subdued and not something we may notice in a definite way. It is a background harmony which makes all the other things better. For example, yesterday I unexpectedly got in the mail a gift book from a gifted poet who named his book Sea Sonnets, perfect for this aspect in water signs and including Neptune! Air and land traffic has been plagued with upsets but I have not happened to hear of any maritime disasters recently and perhaps the grand trine is helping ocean voyagers. As for the millions who seek watery escape along seashores or lakeshores or in boating, fishing or swimming, I assume many are enjoying themselves thoroughly and feeling deeply at peace near the water. This aspect will be strong through July because joined soon by Mars, and present through August. At best it can grant deep experiences on spiritual planes, so meditators and pray-ers should be gifted with fulfilling occurrences. This could definitely be true up to August 3 because the Dark Hermetic Epoch is famously prolific in spiritual and psychic phenomena. Wednesday:
1 Stage: There is good fortune, glory, comfort through trials, and ultimate security. There is congeniality. People want to get together as if on a houseboat (see above).
2 Focus: Sports, contests, and music are prominent. People want to demonstrate their skills. There is teasing and taunting. The peculiarities of people stand out--they may seem crazy! No, they are just "different"--is anyone really understood?
3 Concern: There has been a destructive, wanton tendency beneath the surface, despite good aspects now present to sustain us. It is important to avoid being so prideful and obstinate, against majority opinion, that you set the force of some against you.
4 Ado: There is travel or an interest in it, an international trend, with a desire for discovery. Sado-masochism grins, let us hope in harmless versions such as sparring, spanking, fencing without hurt. People want to impress others so they feel something.
5 Issue: One could be worldly and reckless, abandoning everything to have a good time sensuously. This has its dangers, but beneath it lies a desire to stimulate and be stimulated, to be articulate and self-revealing while quickening others.
6 Resolution: Meanwhile some community functions, such as ordinary labor, yardwork, housework, require attention and give rewards because you are participating within your community for mutual benefits. This is normal and shows concern for others with resulting communion and shared satisfaction.
7 Essence: You want people to accept your desires and values. You justify yourself. Stubbornly you display yourself as in a parade, showing you have a right to take a leading role. This could be successful partially, entirely, or in essence as a seed for the future.

\Intriguing Shared Experience and Perception/
Since announcing here the sextile of Venus and Mars by 15 degrees (a larger orb than most astrologers would allow but one I believe to be effective through much observation), I have noted four different couples enjoying themselves together whereas I had hardly ever noted this for the past quite-a-few weeks. Two of those couples were arguing mildly but Venus was still square Saturn by a ten-degree orb. As of today, that aspect is gone! (One might allow a 15-degree orb for the square also and then one might consider these two aspects to be in conflict for a few more days, but the sweeter one is clearly winning.) People are cheering up and friendships which before were cold are warming, and new ones likely. (See Tuesday's report for more about this; the sextile of these two lasts to August 30 by that 15-degree orb.)
The Mercury-retrograde phenomenon (until the 20th-21st) coincides with "the lazy days of summer" and I find it makes things slower--I seem to need more rest and more wordless gazing out the window. This is not a mistake; Mercury is the mind including its words, but while it goes backward it is trying to embrace understanding beyond words and logical thinking. That is why memories and realizations are so powerful. I hope some of them are wonderful for you. Thursday:
1 Stage: Some have designs on others. This could be crafty seduction in some cases, or criminal intent in others. At a lighter and more likely level it is just bold contrivances to get someone to do what one wants. One might judge someone's character by noting how he or she tries to get what he wants through scheming. Yet schemers sometimes make solid contributions to the world by getting things moving.
2 Focus: A teacher, priest, minister, or one in an intellectual serving capacity could be prominent though not famous. His way of thinking is out of the ordinary groove and perhaps nutty according to critics but it might serve him and others in a skewed yet helpful manner. Someone who fits that description but who is no longer in this world could be influential from beyond it.
3 Concern: People are angry about injustices and want to destroy what they regard as wrong governmental interference. The cry of freedom is as a fierce wind. Yet to bring about reform many resort to colorful protests or demonstrations, some in costume, enjoying the day while making a point and forming acquaintanceships.
4 Ado: Students may seem backward when they go backward with Mercury, the planet which rules study and learning. Rather than what the teacher assigned, they prefer to think about something else further afield. Yet it is possible they are divining something significant. Meanwhile they could be punished sadistically.
5 Issue: Let's eat, drink, and be merry! is a general feeling. "The good things of life" are best when shared in camaraderie. Some involved could be self-assertive or annoying, trying too hard to impose their tastes or desires on the others. If some seem to mock others, perhaps the others are too sensitive.
6 Resolution: You gotta pay your dues. Everybody knows it. Pay bills, mow the lawn, groom your hair--fit in with the community in a way which pleases the community. For students there is also the need to pass tests or write papers. Fighting it will not help. Doing it in an out-of-pattern way could be the answer--more spontaneously or with unexpected twists which make it feel like freedom. Actually one is not really free unless somehow participating in a community, and it is partially a community of instruction and learning.
7 Essence: Someone trying to get someone to join a church or organization or support a cause is part of human life and need not be resented. People need to justify their orientations to others and in the process gain better orientations. It's partly a matter of motive. "Don't you see that my motives are good?" is part of what they are saying. Generosity and sympathy are more luminous and convincing than hollow arguments. Brilliance is reflected the more fully in intellects the more they are perceived as beneficent.
