~Leeway for Laziness but Push toward Destiny~
To begin, here is what I posted Saturday on my Facebook profile page:
This Dark Hermetic Epoch (June 10 to August 3) is very strange indeed. It started with revelations from Edward Snowden and Wikileaks. It continues with fires, accidents, and very peculiar incidents which to me are pointing out--as can happen in the DHE and Mercury Retrograde cycle (which is always a little more than three weeks at the center of the DHE which extends more than two weeks on each end of it). Now we are in the Mercury Retrograde portion of the Dark Hermetic Epoch, which generally, but not always, is more intense than the two-week periods before and after it.
What has happened in the past few days? The plane crash Saturday afternoon. Deaths from a fire in Pennsylvania. Deaths in Arizona among firefighters. Injuries of almost 40 individuals from fireworks in California on "the glorious 4th." I commented here that this seemed to signify that we have lost our way, that the nation has "lost it" when it comes to representing anything at all like the individual liberty and independence we are supposed to be celebrating during such fireworks displays. Then, as if to confirm what I wrote on Friday, a new plane which is supposed to be solar-powered, the Solar Impulse, developed a flaw in its wing on Saturday, just after the other crash in California, so that--get this!--it cannot go past the Statue of Liberty in its flight to New York as it had planned. A dispatch from the AP: The flight, which had been planned to take a pass by the Statue of Liberty before landing at JFK early Sunday, is heading straight to the airport . . . What did I write Friday, and post here?
"There are fallen idols. The United States is one of them, because of the Snowden affair and the obvious fact that the Statue of Liberty does not hold a torch of freedom but a wand spewing out disinformation and lies. That perhaps is why the fireworks in California intended to signify freedom turned into an attack on the citizens, as if fate were telling us there is indeed something wrong with our nation in a deep way. I myself did not even look at the fireworks going on outside my window. What were they celebrating? A National Security State? Where is Independence and Freedom?" --Saturday's forecast, paragraph 3
And on Saturday, the day of this forecast, the Solar Impulse plane cannot fly past the Statue of Liberty as planned! If you do not see the synchroniticy and prophecy here in what Cosmic Piper wrote, what do you see?
Perhaps as some think, Snowden is not a hero; or perhaps he is; or perhaps he is an impersonal energy who was forced by circumstances and karma to reveal and make more definite to us the extent to which our government is a government of secrecy and lies, hiding itself and its functions from its own citizens. "Land of the Free," indeed! It is time for us to wake up.
For Monday:
1 Stage: Aspirations are high. You sense that no matter where you go or what position you attain, you will be an influence for good. You have a destiny of leadership on a large or small scale on a small or large stage for a large or small audience.
2 Focus: That could assume a pioneering status. You want to understand what is going on beneath the earth as well as above it--a volcano in Mexico has been spewing out ash. Strange radio signals are perplexing astronomers. The Curiosity module on Mars has broadcast images of a moonrise there. What does this have to do with you? Something ineffable--like an internal flash of lightning which makes visible something you had been missing.
3 Concern: What would you like to sweep out of the way? For some, now, it is out-of-control government surveillance. For others it is Wikileaks and Edward Snowden. People see idols as fallen or falling. Others will be repelled so much by what they see happening that they will make their own way, walking off in an independent direction, estranged and self-reliant.
4 Ado: There is the superficial and there is the profound. You veer from one to the other. When you sense that you are engrossed in the artificial and transient, you can turn to ancient wisdom enshrined in a book. That in turn casts light on current fashionable or trivial media-shows, revealing hidden depths within them.
5 Issue: Out of the woods? Not yet, for Mercury remains retrograde until the 20th and the Dark Hermetic Epoch remains until August 3. Yet you can expend yourself, in the woods or out of it, in a wholehearted manner. Will may be weak when feelings are strong, and the result could be casting yourself on someone or something without good reason, and consequent grief.
6 Resolution: Personality has its adventures. If you can't express yourself entirely, you can wait with ingenuous anticipation and readiness. Maybe the person or the situation in which you could be yourself happily isn't available, but by being ready for it you can be happy ahead of time. Some long-term project which can immortalize you gets your labor through your mastered talents.
7 Essence: You keep pushing ahead whether you can see exactly where you're going or not. That is what your soul wants. Your mind, feelings and body could be listless, aimless, lazy, wanting to lie down and rest, dreaming contentedly. Well, you as soul may give them leeway to take their moments of rest, which are often needed more during a Mercury-retrograde period (and the moon void-of-course today). Then you summon them back to your destined struggle.

To put a focus on something nicer than the DHE and the squares and oppositions, let's look at the ever-interesting relation between Mars and Venus. It seems very rare that these two are in a good aspect. Actually they are often, but in the past few years it seems that whenever they have been in a sextile or trine, some other disastrous aspect such as Venus squaring Saturn has interfered. This time it should be good! I ordinarily allow a ten-degree orb for all major aspects, and have seen this to be accurate over the years, but in the case of these two (as in the case of the moon and Saturn which determine the |difficult third of the week|) an even larger orb could be significant, that is, the maximum orb of 15 degrees. I am suggesting this because it seems to me I am feeling that good vibration already beginning! It is a background aspect, something which does not compel but is there as a resource, a backdrop. It is not just erotic love, not just sex, it is harmony of all sorts, Platonic or erotic, non-sexual as well as sexual, good relations in business and government and between nations. It is as if opposites of all sorts (not just male and female) are able to harmonize rather than bicker. So, here is the span of the 15-degree orb of the delicious, wonderful, delightful sextile of Mars and Venus--let's get the jump on it!--Friday July 5 through Thursday August 29, a full eight weeks! It could be a fine time for a vacation, for example, or for parties and socializing of all sorts. Boy and girl, do we need that! For Tuesday:
1 Stage: I believe there may be remarkable developments in government today. Perhaps the Egyptian or the Syrian situation will come to some sort of breakthrough. It could be an amazing time. The Greater Good is trying to impinge itself upon us! Whatever of good feels most sure within you has a chance to become even more solid and definite.
2 Focus: There could be a sybaritic trend, an over-optimism which wants to coast, rest on oars and enjoy the sweet things of life which after all can fade rather soon. Much is out of the ordinary groove, strange, peculiar, fascinating. Someone may seem almost insane and yet you know that he or she is studious or even a genius, just out-of-pattern with normal human interests.
3 Concern: A recent trend to destroy (as in Egypt for example), or to sweep away what is no longer respected, is easing up. People are beginning to see what is right in things and people rather than what is wrong. You may feel this as an exaltation of yourself as well as others. Whatever your job or profession, or project you care about, it seems to be flourishing within its area of superiority.
4 Ado: The studious and the scholarly are also coming into their power or domain of superiority. You might encounter them in or near a baronial building surrounded by a park or trees. Some problem could arise from an individual who wants what he can get for himself, almost as if a thief, wilful and assertive.
5 Issue: There can be extravagance and camaraderie, feasts of the body as well as the mind. This could be expensive, and some may have indulged in it to the point almost of bankruptcy. More likely it will be just spending a lot on something you enjoy such as a remarkable meal.
6 Resolution: Despite the good things being forecast, in the |difficult third| we are aware of limits and so are wise enough to be careful and constrain ourselves. Conserving things has obvious value, or spending wisely rather than extravagantly, and linking yourself with the old and beautiful in nature and humanity. Yet there can be public display and celebration. It is like a pageant which demonstrates the glories of humanity, and of the Supreme whom humans reflect.
7 Essence: You are conscious of your powers and could be an imposing figure. You are aware of others who have attained their ambitions, and feel positive about them. You sense that you do not have to compromise but can argue on the side of what you believe and justify it to anyone so that your wishes are given sanction.
