~From Miser's Prison to Benevolence~

Moon in Cancer
|Karmically serious or sobering third| of this week is at its most intense today and tonight, but lasts until Saturday

We need to traverse difficult aspects and symbols, but the point is not that we have to suffer ill-fate passively but that we can use these indications as aids to overcoming it.  And so, do not be shocked by . . .

"Death, with a scythe in one hand and a bag of money in the other."  This could be "one who would delight in slaughter and carnage if it would prove of some monetary advantage to himself."  Some will say this could be Donald Trump; others, viewing Hunter's laptop and its revelations about Chinese dealings, Joe Biden.  Take your pick, or George Soros or the Koch brothers.  It's Scrooge a few weeks early.  It could be a hint to be generous rather than miserly in your charitable giving.  As relief, we have "a person with ardent desires, an enthusiast to the causes he espouses; a true friend and an open enemy," symbolized by "a red flame, ascending upward to a great height."  It could be someone you admire or yourself, or both encouraging each other as ruby flames in the darkness.

"A portcullis guarding the entrance to a prison" is not to be taken literally but symbolizes "narrow limits, stern necessity and restraint."  Accepting such secluded circumscription along some lines, self-imposed, could liberate you along other lines.  Work is ultimately lonely, even if supposedly done within a team.  However, there is always "a girl's face breaking into a smile," or gregarious acquiescence to the magic of personal friendliness.  It may seem muted during a |difficult third| but is not absent.

Ordeals of the spirit are suggested by "a widow's past brought to light."  One protects oneself within inner or spiritual realization.  Any past failure can be rectified by accepting current pertinent responsibility.  This could develop into generosity and humaneness, even spiritual grandeur and loftiness, as "a cup or goblet from which rays of ruddy light are emitted."  'Tis the season to be charitable and benevolent.
