Moon in Sagittarius
You have already heard me moan about Mercury retrograde (until July 12) but that is inescapable because it just is a difficult time. Period. Of course it has advantages, which I have pointed out over and over, as in the report for the whole month of Cancer posted last weekend.
Today the "mournful" side of the MR period may come out. We have the symbol "a cypress tree" indicating "a person of melancholy and fretful disposition." The gloom could stem from actual bereavement, in some cases; but mostly just from pondering those who have passed on, perhaps, or confronting one's own limits.
The active rather than passive side of the gloom could be like unto "a spider watching the giddy dance of silly flies as they heedlessly approach the confines of his dominion." This could be "a shrewd lawyer" or "a good detective." The chief of police in Seattle, who is a black woman, Carmen Best, has said that the demonstrators arrested there Wednesday morning "wanted to be arrested." Flies flying deliberately into the spiderweb. Of course in their minds they are trying to make some point, but from my viewpoint the police and the mayor have been very patient with them. I hear protests over a loudspeaker right now, a few blocks from where I live, and I also hear police helicopters overhead. "Looking for trouble" is one thing which goes on during Mercury Retrograde periods, and the moon is still in Scorpio as I write, not a good place for it (because it is exalted in Taurus the opposite sign). On Thursday (today) it shall be in Sagittarius which we hope will be better.
There is an emphasis on money, and the man struggling in a lake, saved by someone throwing a lifebuoy, is said by Charubel to indicate bankruptcy or near-bankruptcy, yet final deliverance from it. That sounds familiar given the struggles of many businesses and workers to make ends meet during the pandemic. "A cameo profile of a man in the outline of his country" shows that the problem is national as well as individual. Who is exploiting whom? is one question. The scam-sharks may be in the waters. We may be looking for a national savior but not sure who that would be.
The Full Moon will be here in a couple days and consciousness is full or high, as symbolized by "a peaceful valley with a swan on the lake and a high mountain in the background." Let us find the inner peace to luxuriate in such a real or virtual scene. There is also "a magician in sacerdotal vestments, standing in a magic circle, performing magic rites." "Art magic" could be real magic, or colorful credulity, but how can one disparage anything uplifting? Let's import or invoke some such artful magic into our consciousness.
