~Approaching Thoughtful Peace~
Moon in Cancer
|Karmically serious or sobering third| of this week is with us until Tuesday afternoon
(A New Moon approaches, exact Monday; the sun shall enter Leo early Wednesday; and a new Bright Hermetic Epoch shall begin a week from today. We are in "an interim period.")
If not "grim determination" then "serene determination" will get us through this day. "An unsuccessful bomb explosion" sounds too much like what has been happening in the public consciousness, with so many perceived injustices calling out for remedy. Obviously a bomb is not that remedy. And so somehow kind destiny prevents the explosion of anger from harming anyone. "Good survives through evil intention and effort" says Dr. Jones. Impetuousness may make its point, but vanity and petulance do not help. The "law and order" forces are observing and waiting in the form of "a spider watching the giddy dance of silly flies." Or this could be yourself as a detective or lawyer trying to settle issues swirling around you.
The "woman holding a bundle of faggots, her hair disordered by the wind, wandering in search of something" is an emblem of utter confusion, perhaps, and yet her eccentricity does not have to be total vexation if she retains her poise. Then she can define her purposes (find what she was looking for) and and be incisive, gaining ultimate if not immediate recompense for her labors.
There is a calmer, more reflective tendency, represented by "a man with a very old-looking book before him, perhaps an ancient record." Profound thinking is possible, aided by profound thinkers who have put pen to paper. The sun opposite Saturn aids in such a thoughtful endeavor. An elevated mind could also find a companion in "a beautiful scene of the country" which "holds the spirit in a mood of silent adoration." Raining or shining, hot or cool, nature still embraces us.
