Gloom is not permanent. Its analogue is a dark night which fades with morning. "The shades of night" may seem like the shades of the dead sometimes. Friends, relatives, partners come and go and someone you care about may seem in danger or ill health. But there is no reason to let this defeat you or steal your peace of mind. Real comfort lies in the spiritual regions. Melancholy and eccentricity go along with a reclusive life. You or someone close to you may veer in that direction. There is fierce competition, "a person climbing a rock in the midst of a fierce storm." This personage makes his way among insuperable difficulties. There is "uncertainty, peril, and final success." That is, for someone: Why not you?
Not everything is difficulty and self-assertion; there is also weighing and measuring in an apt manner. You know how to interconnect all details to one another successfully. Your ambitions "endow life with enduring potentiality" because you know how to transmute what is perishable into what is immortal. This is an alchemical utilization of "the philosopher's stone."
