I didn't want to write about the Iran situation today,but the first symbol throws me smack into it: "A dark face wearing an expression of fierce anger, and across the forehead a red band of blood." This probably does not foretell any new violence but shows what is going on in the minds of those who want vengeance and those who want to defend from it. There is vindictiveness, "even frenzy or acute mania, unless controlled by the power of moral persuasion, intellectual training, and social culture" (Sepharial). Along with it is "a coal pit, the machinery at a standstill, the whole plant in a dilapidated condition" (Charubel). This could refer to conditions in Iran under American sanctions and warring groups. It needs to find its way. As for the rest of us, this all reflects the strong position of Mars in the heavens right now with a sharp quincunx to Uranus and in a critical degree. We are edgy but can work things out with the resulting energy. "The best revenge is success."
Two of yesterday's symbols remain, the little child learning to walk and the betting man at the racetrack. These are signals of hope for progress, gain, and "something new." They mitigate the problems of the previous paragraph. "Get over your remorse or resentment and try something new" is the message. The lunar aspect just when the v-of-c begins (time above) is a trine with Venus and this is a sweet, pacific, calming trend. When looking at it in relation to Trump and Khamenei I thought it might be an endeavor toward conciliation---not necessarily by themselves so much as by the "deep states" in the background. Someone ought to be trying to bring harmony to the situation and this could be happening somehow, visible or not.
We can do more than we realize, and do not have to suffer and struggle to do it but "take it light" for a while, as if handling a balloon. Something good, even if not remarkable, will arise or bounce from the attempt. The angel holding a golden crown is still waiting at the top of that stairway we are climbing even if in the dark. The balloon of our creative hopes gets there first and we follow. Mercury is joining the sun today and tomorrow, the center of a Bright Hermetic Epoch. We can realize what is best for us during the next two or three months (especially before the v-of-c), and even many of the details. It might be good to write those down or do something to remember them.
