Hypercriticism is the other side of the coin of hypocrisy. We may assume that we are upholding some national, ideological, partisan or tribal right. "A flag turns into an eagle that crows." Maybe it is good to identify with a group and be its hero, but there remain ethical adjustments to make if we unwittingly advocate unfairness.
Who is the idealized leader you believe in? Many are considering that in view of the U. S. primary season almost upon us. "A shepherd on the mountain top with crook in hand looking to find his sheep" could be candidates in Iowa looking for voters. Of course it is also Donald Trump and his rallies.
