If you feel bewildered by Christmas preparations, I recommend giving yourself a break from them on the * and * * days, when possible, and focusing on them during the * * * and * * * * times. Probably they will go more smoothly then and your judgment will be better.  (Of course, there can be exceptions to all such rules. And note, below, that for example on next Tuesday things get better later in the day, afternoon and evening.) 

Thursday: A quiet rebirth can be going on. Your will power is intensified so that, within limits, you could work a form of magic.

"Telephone linemen at work" suggest being connected with those important to you (up to the v-of-c time anyway). There is a desire to journey, whether feasible or not, with a kind of stubbornness in adhering to what brings acclaim in one's own mind.  

"A man afloat upon a raft" sounds like the Mercury Retrograde period (until the 22nd-23rd). We often feel abandoned to a questionable fate. It seems sometimes easier to deal with others' problems than one's own. "A ship in full sail" is the opposite of the man lost on the raft. We may feel sometimes like one, sometimes the other. So we can take the right tide or right winds and get where we need to go, but without undue haste. Change can be pleasant as well as unpleasant.

We may fear catastrophes. Yet there is "a youth holding a lighted candle" and showing us what we can rely on, namely, our spiritual resources and the Mercy of the Supreme, which is utterly potent when one gets linked with it.
