Esoteric knowledge is, in general, longed for more than attained, yet "The Pyramids and the Sphinx" suggest that we can have grandiose dreams of the past and its inner, higher significance. Actual initiation out of the body in an ancient Egyptian chamber is a more remote possibility for most of us. "A human skull" makes us liable to melancholy, but open to pondering on the occult and the mysteries of the after-death state.
There is concord among friends and admirers, with a desire to share one's partisan views in a convincing manner even if others see them as less than impressive.
"A broken bottle and spilled perfume" can be embarrassing, because one's secrets permeate the atmosphere for all to detect. However, the unexpected aroma might also be subtly seductive. One gives forth from oneself expressively, knowingly or unknowingly. One might become interested in literature, "a quantity of books and papers in disorder," wanting to read more than one can, attempting to absorb the distinctiveness of a writer and her or his research, pondering, and in-depth living.
There could be success through wide knowledge and self-advertisement. There is kindness, liberality, frank chatter and comradeship, even if moods are less than utterly cheery. "Misery seeks company."
