We are inclined toward self-defense, not a bad thing unless it degenerates the mind, making us fearful or bitter. An antidote to that is zeal, or enthusiastic dedication to a purpose. That is good also unless it also goes too far, "a house on fire." 

The bitter isolationism some have been feeling has to do with the opposition of Mars with Uranus plus Mercury's conjunction with Saturn. We need to overcome that, first in thought, through the Sermon on the Mount, "Bless those who seem to be your enemies." We love the harmonious, and want to be even-tempered, so can try for that. 

Happily there are currents of attraction, persuasion, personal charm and trust. Literary pursuits go well. Some will be lecturing or parading their knowledge successfully. 

Humor sometimes seems appalling when one is in a bitter mood. "The Halloween jester" (a month late) may not be welcome. What an idiot, making fun of my worries! Yet it is said that the court jester was valued by certain Royals for his inappropriate humor breaking up sullen moods. Autumn leaves also tell us that there are amazing colorful meanings within what looks like "fall" or defeat.

The quantity of "stars" varies for long periods sometimes because of long-term difficult aspects such as Mars opposite Uranus which, in my research, has proved a demon (unless we learn how to live with and manifest it). Sometimes long-term aspects will depress the ratings for weeks at a time, or raise them. The indications are intended to be most accurate from dawn of the given day until midnight. Then, from midnight until the next dawn, that quarter-day may partake of the nature of one or both days on either side. It is a transition period, usually reserved for sleep. Note: I am not giving any five-star ratings until the Dark Hermetic Epoch ends on January 10. The other ratings remain the same, but the uncertainty in the DHE makes * * * * * unrealistic.
