I hope you will consider and work with these "star ratings" with a grain of salt, not taking them over-seriously and yet not under-estimating them. I have given a lot of research to them. One might say the four stars for Friday, as I write, could not possibly fit the massacre of more than two hundred Sufi worshipers in Egypt. That was a tragedy indeed, and a heinous crime. Orthodox Muslims regard Sufis (a very small mystical sect whose beliefs are much more liberal and much closer to those of spiritual seekers in the West) with the same contempt with which they regard Christians, Jews, pagans and atheists. Mohammed himself was violent, killing Jews and Christians. Islam is not a religion of peace but of war (Jihad) against all who do not accept its Prophet and his teachings. The so-called "liberal" media who tell you something different are either lying or strangely self-deceived.  It could be said that the opposition of Mars with Uranus, worked up to within 5 degrees as of Friday, could be the astrological culprit in this shameless massacre, because astrologers have always noted that Mars-Uranus hard aspects correlate to violence (as the human race is presently constituted). More sanely, they correlate to energy expended in fresh and creative ways, pushing over old things to gain new ones, not violently.

However, the four stars could mean something good for many other individuals in the world. I myself did not have a great day up til now but it was passable. I had to resolve a printer issue and found that the customer service at HP was quick and efficient, which surprised me pleasingly. The day is not ended and I hope to enjoy some of my Friday afternoon-evening after completing this report.

More About The Month of Sagittarius

I already wrote about this a week or two ago. But I find it better always to begin afresh. So I have been pondering the charts for Scorpio (which ended mid-day on the 21st) and Sagittarius (which began immediately after) looking for clues. Sagittarius lasts until December 21st.

It is nice and proper that this month of Jupiter, the "greater benefic," includes Thanksgiving at its beginning (always, since the fourth Thursday always comes within Sagittarius. Of course Thursday is also Jupiter's day, Thor's day, so it is doubly blessed.)  Sagittarius also includes most of the Christmas preparations and many of the holiday celebrations we enjoy prior to the Capricorn holidays themselves.

I wrote about the fact of Venus being the sole dispositor in the Scorpio chart as showing that women were in control, in a sense. And that was the biggest month of revelations and recriminations and blames directed to and from males who had been arrogantly forward, or criminally assaultive, depending on one's view, toward women. It has been an endless process, the MeToo movement. I said concerning Sagittarius that it would not necessarily end the process but that it would be different, with an attempt to balance the male-female injustices and understand them while Venus and Mars are in mutual reception this month (Venus in Mars's sign, Mars in Venus's).

Uranus was the bucket handle in a bucket shaped chart for Scorpio. I have found in research that when this happens things are intense and semi-violent or at least controversial. So it was again. Uranus is in Aries the sign of males and of the "ram" and women were telling how the "beast" had rammed into them uninvited. We, and the guilty males, had to face that. Now, looking at the degree occupied by Uranus in that monthly chart, we see something interesting:

Aries 26-27 is the degree. Charubel gives, "A man pruning trees." This seems odd, yet if one ponders it, and changes it to "a woman pruning trees," it could be women "pruning" the wildly disrespectful and callow desires of males for uninvited sexual contact. Borelli gives, more clearly, "A man, richly attired, having lost his foothold, is falling to the ground." Harvey Weinstein! among others. Sepharial in his interpretation of the symbol says that it "signifies the breaking up of families and the loss of their traditions. It is a degree of Decadence."  Quite accurate.

The Wheeler-Jones (Sabian) symbol is "Lost opportunity regained in the imagination." For the men, this obviously would be a lost opportunity to be a real man and respect the women involved in their businesses. For some of the women it might be a lost opportunity to report or make public what had happened, which some of them in fact regained through coming out with it. The keyword is "Reformulation" which seems to be going on in connection with male-female contacts in a big way.

That was Uranus, the high-focus planet in the Scorpio chart. In this month's Sagittarius chart Mars is in high focus in a bowl-shaped chart. This is less disturbing. Mars wants to get things done, and is the male planet, but he is in Libra one of the female signs (insofar as it is ruled by Venus). As the leader of the "bowl" he is more self-contained and less offensive than Uranus was last month. Calm action in accord with sharp planning could be the keynote. The symbols are rather religious in nature. Borelli: "A man in the robe of a priest standing in a cloister beneath the light of a window." Sepharial says this means a life quiet, peaceful, and secluded. Hmm, not likely for most of us, but it might tone things down. Also, "protection and favor from persons of high position and intellectual dignity." For the religious this can mean a stronger relationship with the Highest. For others it can be adapted to what the priest might symbolize to them apart from formal religion.

Interestingly, the Sabian symbol is similar, "A Jewish rabbi." This indicates one's own cultural and religious Heritage. So we may individually be looking to that for guidance of our Mars (assertive) proclivities. It's quite fascinating that on Thanksgiving I was at a party where a young Jewish man, whom someone called "rabbi" jestingly because of his beard, told a wonderful story of how his mother, father and himself became converted from rather strict Judaism to Christianity. So already these symbols seem to be working out in my life. Oh, here is the website this man has set up: God's Big Party.

Charubel makes the degree a little less religious and more universally spiritual: "The sun shining brightly." He says it denotes a great man (or woman), a public character whose presence among mankind is considered essential. "The world will ever appreciate the presence of such an one." You, me, someone else? We may be attuned to the influence of such individuals in a big way and they may help us manifest (Mars) our potentials more elegantly (Libra) and confidently (bowl chart).

From the previous report on this month:  I had indicated that there were more "good" aspects in the Scorpio than in the Libra chart; and now it is heartening to say there are even more "good" ones in Sagittarius than in Scorpio, a boost from 63 per cent to 71 per cent. In other words, from 10 smooth/6 difficult to 12 smooth/5 difficult. Also, while the "bogeyman planet" Saturn was square Mars in the Scorpio chart, in Sagittarius it has no harsh aspects at all. Its conjunction with Mercury suggests concentrated mental work or study, for many, which is both practical and theoretical or could alternate between the two. (Einstein had that aspect in his birth chart.) There remains a focus on saving, budgeting, or income, and methods of improving one's financial status, but with less worry or trouble, it appears. Something you have already decided about your personal money plans should be kept intact, because we tend to make wrong moves in a Dark Epoch, and Saturn is a "hold the fort" planet. The DHE makes things look more changeable or insecure than they really are, which is why people make bad moves then. In other words, zip up your pocketbook and resist the temptation to try something radical or totally new to you.

There should be less upset or harshness this month because Uranus will no longer be the "handle planet in a bucket chart," which is a tendency toward experimentation which can be good but also too individualistic and inconsiderate. The bowl rather than bucket arrangement gives more self-containment and less of an intense need to convince, persuade, or influence others. In politics there has been way too much of that recently; it may recede or be less dramatic and hysterical. Rather, there is power through calmly realizing one's inner mastery of things. The keyword for Mars in high focus (which it is because the leading planet in the bowl chart) is Indomitable. Each of us may feel indomitable at least in some areas, with an accompanying self-assurance which does not fear calm self-assertion yet does not go overboard in trying to make converts or impress people. Therefore it has more power, though less showy. Further, the defining opposition in the chart (involving Mars and Uranus) is in cardinal signs so that we know just what to do in an effective outer way, rather than moaning and wondering "What should I do? This or that?" The decisiveness of this coming month should be wonderful, curing a lot of self-doubt.

Still, we will be in a Dark Hermetic Epoch (until January 10). This should be a less confusing one than most of them, for now. We will review and recover and re-estimate things, as always in such times, but without the dithering confusion which is the DHE at its worst.

These ratings are intended to be most accurate from dawn of the given day until midnight. Then, from midnight until the next dawn, that quarter-day may partake of the nature of one or both days on either side of it. It is a transition period, usually reserved for sleep. Note: I am not giving any five-star ratings until the Dark Hermetic Epoch ends on January 10. The other ratings remain the same, but the uncertainty in the DHE makes * * * * * unrealistic.
