Boy oh boy, or girl oh girl, it is here! The Dark Hermetic Epoch. I am not having a very hard time today, although I have been tempted toward a lot of daydreaming, but I notice in the headlines typical DHE syndromes. Roy Moore fiasco, apparently never-ending. More news every day about the Russia collusion accusations, usually going nowhere but ever-fresh allegations and implications and links and . . . Does anyone really follow all that, even Robert Mueller? I wonder what his dreams are like. Now even there are proposals to go back into the past (DHE) of Hillary Clinton through government investigations. The tax plan is questioned by both sides, seems to be going nowhere, or in three directions. Some Democratic congressmen are proposing impeachment of the President, on this first day of a DHE. A government takeover or coup in Zimbabwe. And on and on.
I have often been tempted to "read no news, hear no news, watch no news, speak no evil and hear no evil and . . . " during the DHE's in the past. However, we do have to be aware of some things, so I keep attuned to it all but try to remind myself to take it easy and not overdose on the news because too much of it is utterly changeable and uncertain.
But the DHE has its value, of course. I had some strong memories of two "dead" individuals today which seemed like veridical connections with them. That was satisfying. I am pushing myself to keep up with schedules, which often is the best thing to do during a DHE when there are so many temptations to "flake off" without realizing what one is doing until one has wasted five minutes or an hour.
Thursday: Mars remains in high focus, with four planets in Scorpio. Charubel warns against warfare, or the suffering, wounding or death of a soldier. I hope not. For most of us this just means we should discipline ourselves like a soldier going through a drill, and avoid mishaps. There are promising indications of links with prestigious individuals who can be good for you.
There is practicality. The symbol "Dental work" might refer to other medical issues, or just to keeping one's health in shape. One may feel somewhat defensive about some things nearby. One is not really surrounded by enemies (unless actually in a war) but one might feel suspicious.
"A boat landing washed away" suggests the feeling some might have about prospects, friends, and connections. The Part of Fortune in the 12th house of "hidden enemies" makes us feel that something is against us. But Mars in a sign of Venus, Libra, shows that it is possible to mitigate, moderate, or negotiate enmities rather than just suffer them. "A wolf standing on the carcass of a horse" suggests that we can seize what we want or need. One question is whether it is worth it if our "seizure" seems ungallant or selfish to someone else. One can always say, "Someone else would have grabbed it if I didn't." Life goes on.
The sun in a good position suggests strength and purity beyond suffering. Venus invites us to "An embassy ball." Are we ready for that? It might be only in the imagination. It could be something nice about international relations (we need that). Venus is exactly trine Neptune which can mean the joys of music or dancing (the ball). Dance your way down the hall or the street. Your "enemies" may be aghast and run the other way.
