~Diligent Sacrificial Discovery~
Moon in Pisces
|Karmically serious third| of this week is with us until Wednesday * * *
I wonder if you thought that the * * * rating for Sunday was wrong? I did, and further research showed why. It should have been rated * * according to the latest figures. (I always go back and double check all the charts in the archive when I make a change to be sure it does not affect their value inappropriately.) There will not always be so many changes, but "Difficulty at the Beginning" is one of the I Ching Hexagrams and it seems to apply right now to these ratings. I think I can get it right. That is, to the point where you will understand why a one-star or two-star day is "ill-starred." That does not mean it's a useless day but that hunkering down to basic business is wiser than anything risky or overly expectant. Whereas a * * * * day could be much better for fun or adventure (while not neglecting duties, Dear Prudence reminds us).
Monday: Bitterness, jealousy and selfishness could lead to isolation. The converse of this is a desire for security through holding on to someone who assures you and makes you feel loved. "A lamb at a distance from its dam, but looking towards her." We all need some such link, with the Highest first of all. She, He, can be Mother as well as Father.
Being buffeted by waves of adversity can be tolerated when one is making a sacrifice, rescuing someone from a forlorn hope. This is more soul-satisfying than devoting oneself to a vain project which puffs one's ego but does no one else any good.
Serving others does not always get enough credit or respect to make it feel thrilling. Yet it is a necessity of the soul (sun square Neptune). We may need to extemporize, like "Indians making camp," to feel freer and more in command. During a Dark Hermetic Epoch (until January 10) we do things in "out-of-pattern" ways in order to feel more real and more free. Then we may go back to usual trusted routines after our "vacation."
"Chanticleer" sings out his heart, the morning rooster (this is his year, by the way). There is fervor in what you want to present to the world as your own gift. Further, you want to explore, search, make discoveries. This can be done either flamboyantly, with Mars in high focus, or diligently, with Mercury conjoined to Saturn making us want to get solid-rock truth about whatever concerns us.

These ratings have been changed since last week, a few of them reduced in "star power" and some increased because of further meticulous research. They are intended to be most accurate from dawn of the given day until midnight. Then, from midnight until the next dawn, that quarter-day may partake of the nature of one or both days on either side of it. It is a transition period, usually reserved for sleep. Note: I am not giving any five-star ratings until the Dark Hermetic Epoch ends on January 10. The other ratings remain the same, but the uncertainty in the DHE makes * * * * * unrealistic.
